The Armed Republic of Colfintry

Hello, TNP. I'm not exactly new to Nation States, I had played it a little bit several years ago but I had stumbled upon it again and I decided to really give it a go this time.

I plan to forge my nation into a utopia. Well, my own kind of utopia. A government that is impossible to accuse of being the meddling type; a populace that is free, armed, and morally straight; a robust private sector; and an army that even the most dominating empire would be afraid to trifle with.

Ideally, I would join a region that consists of nations that share the same values as myself, but I'll stick with this one for a while. Hell, I might never move at all, this is a nice forum

Heh heh, d'rather a whole country be armed and the occasional law-abiding citizen be murdered because he couldn't draw fast enough to defend himself than a whole country illegalize arms and have the men and women who obey be forced to submit to those who don't. My definition of a utopia is a society where a government doesn't tell its citizens they don't have the right to live if a criminal decides to take their life.

Sorry to go off on a tangent, but you hit a nerve. I know this is a politics game, but I'm not sure it's appropriate to discuss this in this section of the forum.

We seem to have differing ideas on what constitutes a utopia. But that's good. I prefer a region where not everyone has the same viewpoint. Makes for a more balanced outlook and more interesting discussions.

Thanks. I know my opinions don't put me in a majority, so I think this game is going to be a very interesting experience for me.

If you have the inclination, you should take up Vilnoia's suggestion and join the Regional Assembly. You'll have a better opportunity to express your views as it pertains to the stuff that happens here in the region.
