Need advice on how to play more actively

Hello all;

I was just wondering how to make this game more appealing to me; as is all i do is log in twice a day a accept some legislation and thats it :

Seems dull, is there anything more interesting (accepting tyrannical legislature looses its appeal after a while) :blush:

Good question. What you've highlighted is the major shortcoming of Nationstates, namely that is a dreadfully dull game. But don't worry, you're already on the right track to fix that. Most of the real excitement and life of the game actually exists outside the site itself. Find a good region, like this one, and dive in! This is where the regional government is really run. If you like role-playing then you should poke around these fora, and find something that sticks.

Good luck!

If you are interest in legislation and representing yourself in the democratic system of the North Pacific then join the Regional Assembly.

There is also the the North Pacific Army if you are interested in military aspect of Nationstates. It may not be full of gunfight and explosion, but the depth of strategy and intelligence will shock you.

Also spam, games, and fun are awesome. IRC is also recommended if you want to talk with other TNPer. We are at #tnp or esper.net

As DD quite rightly said, this is basically a dull game, and it would be damn boring if all we did was answer our issues and vote on the latest WA resolutions. I rather doubt that I would still be playing after 7 1/2 years if it came down to that!

It is what goes on behind the scenes in the regional forums that makes the game interesting. Browse this forum (and all the other regional forums) and you will be amazed at the great people you will meet... I guarantee you won't get bored!
