Okay, so sometimes on iTunes, when I can't remember the name of a song - and because my music library is so extensive that I can't conveniently scroll through the whole damn thing - I like to pull up the whole library and use the search feature at the top. This is handy because you can type in a word and it will pull up any track that has that word in the song info.
So, for example, I can't sleep right now, and it's 4am. The song "I'm Not Sleeping" by Counting Crows shuffled up to play, and it made me curious as to what other "sleep" songs I have in my library. So I typed it in and this is what I got:
sleepwalkin' - modest mouse
overnight sleeper - acoustic alchemy
who needs sleep? - barenaked ladies
we are the sleepyheads - belle & sebastian
ariadne sleeping - the clientele
i'm not sleeping - counting crows
everything but sleep - denison witmer
song for a sleeping girl - devics
the science of sleep - dick annegant
sleeperhold - dolorean
while you were sleeping - elvis perkins
we sleep in the afternoon -the fauves
sleeping on the roof - the flaming lips
sleep over jack - guided by voices
no sleep - jebediah
two sleepy people - julie london
before i sleep - mazzy star
sleep awake - mother mother
vengeance is sleeping - neko case
sleepy little deathtoll town - the panda band
let me sleep (christmas time) - pearl jam
sleep better - pete yorn
the district sleeps alone tonight - the postal service
sleeping in - the postal service
the sidewinder sleeps tonite - rem
daysleeper - rem
sleeping lessons - the shins
sleeping pills - suede
CONCLUSION: Here is the game. It's like word association, only in playlists. Sleep was my word; the above was my resulting playlist.
So, now it's my turn to give the person below me a word to search for, that I associate with the word "sleep," and they will post at least 10 songs that show up in their results with that word IN THE SONG TITLE, unless you only have songs that have that word in the band or album name, in which case, I'll be ok with you including those.
(Hopefully that makes sense. I AM typing this while pretty sleep-deprived, remember.)
Ready, set... go!
New word: CAN'T
