A force of over 40 fendas from FRA, TITO, Equilism, Texas, Europeia, 00000 A World Power, Yggdrasil, The United Kingdom, Crusaders of Justice, Liberty Alliance, Antarctica, and Royal Federation of Nations have ended one of NS longest occupations - that of Feudal Japan.

I was a bit perplexed to see this on the Feudal JApan's Regional Happenings:

104 minutes ago: The Sleepy Sedges of Marshgrassistan removed The Understated Modesty of Flemingovia from the regional ban list.

Why on earth would the raiders have put me on the ban list in the first place? I do not think I have been out of TNP in years, except to post the odd message elsewhere?

However, congratulations to those named above for probably the largest liberation effort of 2009. :worship:

Me? Heavens no, Lone Wolves United wasn't involved at all when the initial call to protect Feudal Japan was sent out. That call produced 60 raiders, but I wouldn't have a clue if that would be enough.

Personally, I'm staying away from that blighted hellhole, the circumstances surrounding its liberation are a black mark upon the entire game.

40 defenders. 60 raiders. IF your figures are accurate should be a walk in the park. Let's see how it plays out.

It's really only a symbolic victory. Most of the natives left long ago for Tokugawa Japan. It'd be rather foolhardy to go back to Feudal Japan for any extended period of time. It has no Founder and would forever be a target. They could never hold it together.

The raiders in Feudal Japan did gather 60+ nations true, but that was over several days/hours. Our 35-40 people all jumped into the region 1-2 min. before update.

This is like one of those "who would win in a fight: Pirates or ninjas?" arguments.

Perhaps a scrap like this will sort out whether the defender or invader side of the game is stronger at the moment.

The defenders have been whining that they are so much weaker than the Crashers, that's how, in part, they convinced the Admins to institute this ridiculously bias Security Proposal thing.

*shrugs* I haven't seen anyone do that in a long time. My point wasn't so much that raiders can't do it though. If a bunch of them got together to plan it they might. Would be interesting to watch. I just don't think 60 people moving into a region over a longer time period is the same as 35 doing it during a 3 min window. Having non-updaters is fine. Around update when most of the action takes place they're not too useful though.

I Am a simpler soul, and the finer points of who moved how many into where and over what period are lost on me.

I tend just to look in the delegate's seat to see who has won or is the stronger. As someone once said to me, that is the only measure of victory that matters ... just before he got kicked out on his butt.

This was a special case, because places like Belgium and FJ are examples of how raiders would always love to destroy regions that have really strong communities, and almost no part of the raider/defender game :ADN:
