The NationStates server was subjected to a data breach. TNP Forums do NOT interact with the NS servers and remain secure. If you use the same password between the two sites, it is recommended you change your password.
I have never been fond of the NS forum. But I have seen many that are active there. Some discussions are interesting and I hope that those that frequent Jolt can help us stay in the loop. Lets see if anyone shows interest in this.
The Jolt forums are very bland - but there is a large activity base there, I find both the General and WA areas very interesting - and will soon be participating there more regularly again.
I think it'd be a great idea if more of us made ourselves known over there...
Only a new NS forum would make me interested. I haven't been active there in all my years playing the game and I don't see much that would change that.
The thing to remember about the Jolt forums is that they're not a monoculture. Sure, they get along better with each other than with non-Jolt peopl, but International Incidents, Nationstates, WA, and General forums all have very different people using them and crossovers are a minority.
The General Forums users are usually full of veterans who use their nation like its an attached inbox to their forum account, and this only. The WA forum users tend to be alot more active in-game. But like Kandy implied, members from these two areas will generally be complete strangers to each other.
Its an interesting place, actually. And vibrant, last time I was there. If you haven't done it yet, give Jolt a shot...I found it was pretty worth it.
