Inactivity Clause

Should a vital elected official becomes Inactive, the only legal response is to remove them after a month. While all elected officials must be in the RA, the method to replace them is even more legally spotty. To avoid confusion and potential impeachment trials, we need a strong constitutional mandate to remove important officials in necessary roles. Roles like Speaker and Justices.

Art 1
Section 3
...
10) If any elected official should fail to check into their account for two weeks without prior notice, the dual consent of either the Speaker, the Delegate, or the Chief Justice will commence the special election of a replacement. This replacement will fulfill the remainder of the term.

Whackaway folks.

Add the word "special" with the word "election" and it would make clear that the regular election cycle isn't affected.

You could even add a clause to make clear the election would be for the remainder of the current term.

Seems like a good idea. Maybe we could have their deputy minister (where applicable) be posted in the position for the remainder of the term.

Ministers aren't elected Officials, so this doesn't apply to them.

They can simply be replaced by the Delegate.
