Civ IV Mod

Hi there,

I’m currently undertaking a project to make a NationStates mod for Civilization IV BtS. It will include whoever wants to be in it (both regions and individual nations).

Zemnaya Svoboda suggested that I should ask here if anyone is interested.

To do the mod, I’ll need two things:
Firstly, if there is anybody out there who wants to help me make this then that’d be great (XML/Python/Civ IV modding knowledge not needed but would be helpful).
Secondly, if you want your region/nation to be in the mod then I’ll need to know.

For both please PM me here or TG me in NS.

Right now I'm preoccupied with my own programming activities but I'll let you know if I free up later. I'm certainly interested in my Taijitu nation, "Eluvatar" being in the mod. (Zemnaya Svoboda would work as simply Russians, so I'm not asking for it <_< )

I have no coding experience, but my nation "Kharkistania" would be so hilarious to play as, I'll throw my name in.

However, I'll wait till this gets a bit off the ground before throwing a bunch of details and crap at you, as getting coders is more important right now. :lol:

hey terrosania, we in Caprecia already did a mod of our regional maps (we have a number of them which form one major map for RP purposes) and it came out pritty successfully:

I think lucava, the one who did our mod is currently adding onto the major NS one as well... should be interesting.

Errm Dom...it's me...Lucava...

Anyway, I've got one other region to do at the moment but TNP could come after that.

The coders would be more important later on when I get way outta my depth with adding stuff, at the moment it's very simple in the whole scheme of Civ IV modding, it's just a time consuming process..
 
Well this sounds like a very interesting venture. I may be interested in participating, please do keep us updated on how this unfolds.
