Second Inaugural Address
It is time to bring together all nations of the North Pacific, and welcome back into our midst those who left to form the Crimson Order and those who were sent to the Rejected Realms. We all want what's best for the region, and it is only by engaging in open dialogue that we will be able to move forward.
No Crimson Order member shall be prosecuted for his actions. They were seeking to build a better TNP. It is, after all, what we all want.
We cannot be afraid to test new ideas. Nor should we be stuck with old ideas that no longer work.
I like the concept of guilds. I like the CO's districts. I like the honorary founder idea. All these ideas need is a willingness to work together and give them a try.
One thing I will say about our current processes in the RA and in the judiciary: their design rewards inactivity. We could tighten up the time bills are on the floor. A measure should take no more than two weeks to go from draft to the close of voting. We could try holding trials in real time. Then maybe we could actually get to the sentencing phase - and make the guilty parties perform community service.
There is so much to be done. We will have elections this month. We will focus on recruiting from within the region. We will re-establish our global presence, and we will build up our military forces. All these things are essential to our vitality as region. Oh, and I will build up my endo count!
Together we can make it happen.
