Hi all, heard about NationStates around the traps & thought I would give it a go & see what it is all about.

My nation started life here in The North Pacific so i thought i would have a look around & see what the go is on the forum.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I'm slowly getting around the forum & seeing what it offers.

I have 1 quick question, with the RA is there time limit I need to wait before applying?? & also I have not joined the UN on NS yet, was going to wait & see how I go first before getting involved with that.

You can apply to the RA from the moment you are a member of the forums! Just do it, right now! If you want, that is. Membership gives you a say in regional politics, you can take part in decisions on all kind of issues...


UN membership in NS allows you to decide on UN issues (who, actually, have a merely symbolic effect on all member nations). You can draft your own UN resolutions, and try to bring them up to official vote, you can vote for regional delegates, which in turn leads us straight to the whole raider/defender game.....etcetc.

You've chosen an interesting time to join (as was the case when I joined the game and The North Pacific back in December of 2004.)

Explore these forums. As a newcomer, you might want to enroll in courses at The North Pacific University. It is designed to educate both newcomers and long standing players in the different aspects of Nationstates, as well as The North Pacific.
 
I have seen the university on the forum & is 1 of the next places I was planning to explore. Are the course open to join at anytime or are there set semester??

The University is open to all Nationstates players once they have registered at this forum.

The next semester for the University will be starting soon. Details on how to register and course offerings are located in the University Commons area. Leave a message for Ator People, the Chancellor of the University, if you have any questions about the University.
