Jerry Falwell Is Dead!

Normally I would not rejoice over the death of another human being, but I make a HUGE exception for Falwell. He has been a symbol of ignorance and bigotry. And the founder of the moral majority? Bitch please! His values and the and the values of people like him are not in the majority in the US of A.

I have nothing against religion or the word of God. I believe in God, but I also believe in compassion, understanding and keeping an open mind.

No you are right it is very becoming of anyone who considers themselves to be a good follower of any religion. Point taken. I apologize for this post.
 
I am not nor ever have been a fan or supporter or much of a tolerater of that man. There is a special brand of evil, something you will find under cloaks of righteousness, which I believed he and his ilk practiced in from time to time. My opinion, and far be it from me to judge his soul or his fate, two things I cannot ever grasp and would never be in a position to judge. Whatever idea of G-d he claimed to worship, I imagine it would be a funny moment when he does get up there and find out what his Creator is really like: George Burns.

I assumed your comment was meant me, and whether it was or wasn't. It was needed. Despite the life and filth Jerry preached it does not give me the right to make hateful remarks. Two wrongs do not make something right. Thanks UK!

You are right LV. That is the very challenge for every human being.
 
To lie to ones own self is the greatest misdeed any one human being can do.

If Joshua has feeling about this...person’s death, then he should be allowed to express them freely so long as he doesn’t launch into a complete loony rant.

How do I feel about him? I believe he was an asshole beyond utterance for his commentary that 9/11 was caused by pagans and homosexuals. Ann Coulter is up there with Falwell after her comments that 9/11 widows were nothing but money grabbing whores (I'm only slightly paraphrasing, sadly enough; her description was much more insulting). He did quite a lot to spread fear, hate, and moral superiority amongst certain Christian factions of the American public. This can be seen by that young man, a follower of Falwell, who fully intended to set off quite a number of explosives during Falwell's funeral. Those bombs, by the by, were to be used against a group of pro-gay activists who planned to protest Falwell's final ceremony.
