General Voting Information:
Whichever method of voting you choose, please keep the following information in mind:
- You are welcome to abstain as many times as you wish. An abstention is treated as a vote in favor of none of the candidates, in that it will count toward the total number of ballots cast, but not toward either of the candidates' vote count.
- When voting for the Security Council, you may vote for any number of candidates up to eight. The candidates with the eight highest vote counts will be given a seat on the Security Council. (However, if a Security Council candidate is elected as Delegate, or as Speaker, those votes are disregarded in determining who is elected to the Security Council.)
- For all other offices, the winning candidate must receive over 50% of all ballots cast. If no clear majority is reached, a runoff will be conducted from 10 May to 16 May between the two highest candidates. .
- You must be a member of the Regional Assembly before the elections open in order to vote. If you think you are eligible to vote but cannot post in this topic, please let either forum administrator know as soon as possible.
- Please keep to the format outlined above. Failure to do so may result in the invalidation of your ballot.
If anyone has any questions regarding the elections, please let Grosseschnauzer or Former English Colony know. Thank you.
