Embassy Updates

[Haor Chall]

Updates will go out fortnightly, on a Monday. All members of the DC are welcome to contribute towards forming the latest update, which will be done in a seperate thread. The code of the finalised update, when ready for posting, will be put in this thread ready for distribution to embassies.

Elections were held in TNP during the middle of February, Grosseschnauzer has been re-elected as Prime Minister and is joined by the following in his new cabinet.

[b][u]The Regional Assembly[/u][/b]

The Regional Assembly has been very busy lately. A proposal submitted by the Prime Minister that introduces new procedures for removing officials from office is in [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2828]formal discussion[/URL].

Also under formal discussion are proposals for [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2757]amending term lengths[/URL] from 3 months to 4 months and a proposal to add [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2827]time limitations[/URL] to trials.

Debate is also ongoing over more controversial proposed legislation including an amendment that would define the usage of [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2817]“member”, “nation” and “player”[/URL] within the Constitution. Other amendments under discussion are proposals to tidy up the language of part of the [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2658]electoral requirements[/URL] for UN Vice Delegate.

The Regional Assembly has been discussing many matters these last few weeks, including [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2935]electoral reform[/URL], [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2757]term lengths[/URL] and debate also continues on intelligence oversight.

[URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2875]Votes[/url] on Impeachment by Recall and new time limits for trials were passed, whilst the vote on amendments to intelligence oversight failed to pass.

[URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2897]Nem has resigned[/URL] as Minister of Defence, he is to be replaced by [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2944]Mesian[/URL].

Following OPArsenals resignation from TNP, a new regent is needed for the TNP university. So far the current Prime Minister, Grosseschnauzer, has put himself forward for the position.

Also under discussion is whether TNP should consider [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2960]moving forums[/URL] again onto the new Zetaboards.

A [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2846]regional task force[/URL], led by the delegate Dalimbar, has been created. It will look into many different aspects of the region, to try and improve and develop the region. Its forums can be found [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showforum=109]here[/URL].

A [URL=http://z13.invisionfree.com/TNP/index.php?showtopic=2898]commission[/URL] has been appointed to look into the creation of a TNP economy.
