Flemingovia's Fancies

We have just finished watching "life on mars" - one of the best series I have ever seen.

Imaging the scenario. A policeman is knocked down by a car. He wakes up.. in 1973. Has he travelled back in time? Is he in a coma? Is 2007 a fantasy? is 1973 a dream? How can he cope in a bigoted, violent, racist police force?

Brilliant, brilliant telly.

Man, I used to love Power Rangers. Then they changed it, but kept the same basic thing.
Year. After Year, after year. After about the third time around, I lost interest completely.
I don't know how many incarnations its gone through, but its something silly, like 20 something. Anyway, just wait till he gets bored, and don't buy him any toys cause he'll only want the new ones next year.

As for LoM, I never got round to watching it. Anything with a Bowie soundtrack has AUTOMATICALLY got to be good, though.

we are just getting the 2nd series out here and im loving it, although im hoping it behaves like all good british dramas and quits while its ahead. i dunno how a third series would go

Have never seen Life On Mars myself but how is this for a quote? It appeared on BBC a few days ago

Sam Tyler - Life On Mars. To Gene Hunt: "I think you've forgotten who you're talking to."

Sam: "An overweight, over-the-hill, nicotine-stained, borderline-alcoholic homophobe with a superiority complex and an unhealthy obsession with male bonding?"
