General Voting Information:
Whichever method of voting you choose, please keep the following information in mind:
- You are welcome to abstain as many times as you wish. An abstention is treated as a vote in favor of none of the candidates, in that it will count toward the total number of ballots cast, but not toward either of the candidates' vote count.
- When voting for the Security Council, you may vote for any number of candidates up to seven. The candidates with the seven highest vote counts will be given a seat on the Security Council.
- For all other offices, the winning candidate must have 50% of all ballots cast. If no clear majority is reached, a runoff will be conducted next week between the two highest candidates.
- You must be a member of the Regional Assembly before elections open in order to vote. If you think you are eligible to vote but cannot post in this topic, please let me know as soon as possible.
- Please keep to the format outlined above. Failure to do so may result in the invalidation of your ballot.
If anyone has any questions regarding the elections, please let me know. Thank you.
(I just realized I'm a bit late with this. As a result, I will accept ballots that are date-stamped up to 1:42 AM GMT on August 8th, to ensure that the voting period lasts a complete seven days. My deepest apologies for this error.)
The United Federation of Hersfold
Election Commissioner
* Sorry for the confusion, but Southwest Asia has been found to be eligible for the election. You may now vote for him if you wish to do so. If you have already voted, you are welcome to change your vote as long as you do so before elections close.
