As a member of TNP for nearly three years, my focus has been on protecting, defending and occasionally fighting to regain the community we call home. I am committed to maintaining the security of the region, and I believe the Delegate's primary role is to ensure our protection.

The Constitution limits the powers of the Delegate and I wholeheartedly support it in word and in spirit. You can trust me to abide by the constructs we have enacted. I have served several terms on the Security Council and I have and understanding of how to best utilize the role of that body.

The Delegate has the important job of bringing UN proposals to the region for discussion and vote. I would be diligent in following the wishes of the reqion with respect to UN voting.

Feel free to ask me any questions.

Wait... let me answer the obvious one: No, I am not really Great Bights mother. I just created this nation to annoy him when he was Delegate. :jack:

OK, I won't answer any questions for a few days then. :P

Fed, you'll always be a rebel to me.
*hums, "see the way he walks down the street...."*

I would like to wish Great Bight's Mum every success in her campaign to become delegate...
When I first turned up...and since...she has been wonderfully helpful to me....

Edit:typo

Given the recent threats to the security of the region, how do you intend to ensure a safe handover of the position if you are elected?

The Security Council is abreast of possible threats from endotarters, and I trust they will appropriately handle any naation approching Unter's level. I am in the process of garnering endorsements, and if I am elected, I will continue to encourage nations to endorse me. Once I reach a level the region feels comfortable with, FEC can then hand over the Delegacy. I believe it is more important to take action against any real threats to the security of the region than it is to rush a handover.

@DD: Great Bights Dad CTE some time ago, may he rest in peace. I guess that makes me the Widow Bight! BTW, "he" was actually a she IRL.

In terms of time commitment, are you ready to assume the day in day out requirements of the delegacy? The endotarting, telegramming, and monitoring the UN? Are your internet and computer going to hold up?

Do you think there's anything else that could be done to garner more interest from the nations of the region? Should the Delegate and Vice Delegate send out more invitations to non-UN nations to invite them into the fold?

EDIT: You do realize you will be the one informing the SC of endotarters most likely? You and the vice delegate will usually be the first to spot them.

Thank you for your questions.

I am willing to assume the responsibilities of the delegacy. I am online nearly every night after all the "little Bights" are tucked in. I also have access at my office where I keep a forum window open, and I can be on top of any emergencies that may arise. This past Tuesday I got a shiny new internet connection, so unless lightning strikes twice, it should be fine.

I do believe it is important to TM nations in the region to encourage forum usage. The non-UN nations are a largely untapped resource. In my view, the MoIIA's office is the appropriate place to spearhead a campaign. Because of the sheer size of the region, a team needs to be organized and monitored. As delegate or as a private citizen, I would certainly be willing to assist in the undertaking.

If I saw an endotarter now or at any time, I would advise you, the SC, the Cabinet and the (nonexistant) NPIA. As delegate I would make sure we are all aware if anyone is chasing the delegacy, or approaching Unter's level.

While I was tarting last night and this morning I spotted a few you missed....heres a list of the ones that have slipped through the net...

Do you have any comment on the fact that the nation "Unendorse GBM" has already been created?

What does this tell you about the sort of delegacy you are likely to face?

Wow. really? Well, I guess that means we will continue to be pestered by unimaginative critics.

Seriously, it is important to be able to distinguish among valid criticisms, petty annoyances and effective threats to TNP security. I don't know for a fact which category that nation's communications will fall into, so until that time I will withhold judgement.

I do have a comment about the gender issue vis-a-vis the delegacy. I think it's in the numbers. This region simply has a lot of fabulous women who enjoy being active in government. :D Plus, we smell nice. ;)
