Blackadder has handed his nation to Moldavi
Moldavi has gone on a killing spree

Sound familiar to anyone?

THis thread is for initial cabinet thoughts and responses.

Ignore. Given Ivan's history here, unless he moves against us, we need to give him the cold shoulder, continuing to treat him as if he were merely a ghost of the past.

I wouldn't even reccomend issuing a public statement, and if asked, say we really couldn't care less, only more diplomatically. The fall of the PRP was to our advantage, though Ivan coming to power wasn't. Only time will tell which was the lesser of two evils.

We should also consider closing the embassy and shutting down relations. But that's my opinion.

Not again.... he's already taken over Cyber Nations, why's he need NS under his belt too?

Closing the embassy would be my first step, maybe also condemming the actions of Ivan (again). Mass bans are mass bans, except now, they're completely legal in the eyes of the mods. What the game lets you do, goes.

Off-topic I know but I play and how the hell did he take over cyber-nations?

Also I'm with shutting down the embassy but I think we should make a statement, something with a veiled "until the Pacific finds itself a legitimate government" or sorts itself out, then we'll be ready to talk.

Continuing the off-topic bit, but he's Emporer of the New Pacific Order, by far the largest and most successful alliance in the game. We've already beaten the living $#!^ out of Pope Hope's alliance, the "Orange Defense Network", and they were probably ranked second. May still be, I don't know.

How about this....

"The government of the North Pacific sympathises with the citizens of the Pacific during their current turmoil, and we offer to them sanctuary should they need it - returning the offer made to our region when we too went through a similar period of unrest.

In the light of the current instability in the Pacific, the North Pacific Government has decided to close our embassy in the Pacific, and also close the Pacific embassy in our forum. Please talk to us again when Moldavi has stopped being an asshole. "

The last bit may need a little work.

The last bit may need a little work.

Actually, it sounds fine to me.

Still just as I thought the West Pacific situation was winding up, this happens. But other than closing the embassy and making a statement, we need to see if there is any resistance to his rule. Kind of like what happened to us. In closing, ain't it ironic that the guy the PRP was trumpeting as a stabilizer to the West Pacific just happens to be the de-stabilizer of the Pacific?

I know, I hate to gloat but... no wait I love to gloat!

At this current time, Former Delegates Unlimited and Mammothistan were ejected from the region. In a late night conversation with Mammothistan, he may be planning to take back the region and if he does become delegate, he plans on holding a referendum on what is the next course for The Pacific.

He has set up a new regime, called the Pacific Provisionary Power, with the boards located at http://s9.invisionfree.com/Pacific_Provisi...php?showforum=1 It seems that at this time a good deal of former PRP members have declared support for Ivan, though my sources inside The Pacific are still unsure on how many former Senators have either declared support, went against, or just left for good.

Given this, as Minister of Defence of The North Pacific, I urge that all citizens be on their guard just incase. This is a re-run of the North Pacific Directorate. We have seen the affects of this, and we know that this action can not be tolerated in a fellow feeder.

If I recieve a plea of assistance from natives and am authorized by our government, I am fully prepared to order a strike on The Pacific in support for the resistance, if there is any of course. Until that time happens though, no NPA/NPAA will be allowed into The Pacific. We will continue our missions as usual, get used to the new rules, however, I do state that we should keep an eye to our southern borders.

Friends, we are entering a troubling time. With The West Pacific still split apart, now The Pacific in a quagmire, who knows what can happen next.

Sounds good. I just hope the Pacific, whichever way it turns, is for the better. *coughs* democracy!

I'll take the statement as given, clean it up a bit, and take control of the embassies regarding the Pacific in the morning. If there is any change until then, let me know.

Which reminds me, is there any word on what's happened with the old resistance group to the PRP?

Now this new influence thing has BlackAdder at a "Vassal" level, so does that mean he has alot or a medium amount of these points to eject people.

What I'm trying to ask, is what is his capacity to ban nations. This whole influence level thing will take some getting used to <_<

But I'm for closing the embassy, only if we can keep open a consulate type section on either side so that communication is not completely cut off.

EDIT: apparently its been 700+ nations that have been ejected. Wow, I do miss alot when I don't go on for a day or so ;)

Moldavi is registered as Delegate on the PPP forums. Mammothistan I am talking to right now. The nation Blackadder has low influence right now due to the over 700 ejections. Currently, the "other side" is Mammothistan, saying he wants his region back.

Just so we are clear, the person behind Blackadder has left the game.

However, my contacts inside the PPP are saying that many are only dealing with Ivan because they want to have a government. They claim that by working with him, they can achieve more. I tried to put our own struggles against Ivan into this situation, and then I got ticked off... Anyways, we shall see how the situation plays out. I agree, diplomatic contact must be severed.

mmm.... Ivan's having fun. I don't know how much real intent he has to create a government with himself as head. But I don't think it's our place to comment on something where the Senate was dissolved, the nation handed over, and the Senators are now divided. So, I add a little vote for getting rid of the embassy but not issuing anything more then a statement of "feel free to come to TNP".

In the light of the current instability in the Pacific, especially due to the source of it, the North Pacific Government has decided to close our embassy in the Pacific, and also close the Pacific embassy in our forum. Relations between the two regions may be considered cordial but completely informal."
Questions, comments, requests for my head?

I have to agree with Eras. Let us just wait and feel out the situation. If Ivan goes too far (I can't believe over 700+ nations isn't too far...) then we release the hounds so to speak.

I think we'd look like idiots if we stage an objection without any native dissent, I mean this is the way politics is done in the Pacific. I'd hate for us to walk out of this with our dicks hanging out. So yeah until that criteria is met, wait and see.

Also the statement is fine with me.

But until then, we wait...

Indeed we do.

PS I am not going anywhere with my dick hanging out. So there.

can we join the ADN now? LOL

Do you mean a vote or a just a pat in the back? Cause the pat is there but you need to call a vote if you expect majority consent to back you.

Psst - we do.

Aye, for what it's worth. Just please don't actually call him an asshole, or I'll probably have to censor the darn thing.

Having looked into it, such a statement would acheive nothing. There doesn't seem to be any resistance at all and the new regime seems to have popular support. As such any statement which puts us into a position of opposition is probably a bad idea at this stage.

Possibly, but I think there are other factors to consider in our particular case. I don't feel it would be prudent, nor sane for us to make any endorsement of this new regime, either direct or implied.

I further see little to no benefit at all of us remaining in contact with an obviously aggressive and imperialist order, whose 'reorganization' in it's base of true power is only the continuation of something that has been ongoing for months, if not a year or more.

We need to consider the broader threat this poses, and the Order's strong influence in several regions.

If a resistance does begin to form, and shows some sort of organization or progress, we may want to consider giving our support to it. Ivan did pretty much exactly the same thing to us - he's got a quote of me in his signature that very effectively shows how much of a pain in the arse that was. I used to feel kind of bad that he'd put that in there, but now I'm not feeling quite as guilty.

Well, talk to Dalimbar. We just don't have that kind of manpower, even if we were to pass authorization for such an act through the RA. And even if the wolves came to our aid. Not to mention that in a direct-to-rights war against the Pacific, we would lose, because they have the resources of Gatesville at their disposal.

They've done nothing to directly piss us off yet, but they've done nothing that deserves happy-go-lucky relations with us. The illusion of the feeders standing together is gone. They have conquered one feeder, and have two UCRs who by their very nature are heavily immune to invasion, one of which is quite possibly the greatest threat to any feeder.

If we are of right mind, we need to strengthen relations with the feeders that have yet to be comprimised, as well as opposing cooperatives.

OOC: Let's not fail to mention the massive propaganda campaign they're running in Cybernations, under the guise of it being a nationstates thing. They're trying to humanize themselves to their enemies, and possibly gain support into NS.

eh? i did not quite understand this sentence. WHat is the UCR who is the great threat to a Feeder?
