And the rather interesting medal design this year:

Yay!

The Gilded Donut of Excellence!

In any case, I'm already sick of Olympic hoopla. My company employs more Olympic Athletes than any other, and has made sure we know it. :eyeroll:

Let me guess... Home Depot?

The opening ceremonies haven't been as weird as I expected.... so far... Last time's at Greece was a bit strange.

 Yeah, a bit. I like Byard's name for them better, though.

I edited out the results and copied it to notepad, i'll repost it later, after the olympic coverage is over here in the US.

Hey hersfold, maybe you could hold off posting the results until after we've had a chance to see them here in the US? (You know that whole time zone thing right?) Some of us like watching it and not knowing the outcome till the end. Thanks. :P

:pinch: Sorry. They've already aired most of the events where I live... the only thing we haven't seen yet here is speed skating.

Sorry.

:( The Dutch Women's team crashed in the bobsled today... they ran about half the track either upside-down or on their side at speeds of 70 mph... fortunately, neither is injured.

Why do people never get hurt in the olympics?

Well... other than Israel's team that one year...
And some of the skiers this year... and that one Italian ice dancer last night...

People get hurt quite a lot at the Olympics.
