Royal War?

Nadroj - Today in Nadroj (one of Atorian Provinces) the royal family wrote a letter to the Prime Minister of Ator People ordering that the throne of the royal family be restored within 48 hours, or it would be taken by force.

Ten years ago, the royal monarchy was overthrown by the republicans, securing a republic in Ator People 'till the present day. However, the royal monarchy, having been the founding government of Ator People, has been seeking the throne ever since. In recent months, the family has written numerous letters to the House of Citizens. A few senators have actually sided with the family, arguing for the family to be restored to the throne and the House of Citizens kept as a legislative body. However, Prime Minister Andrew, having been personally involved in overthrowing the monarchy ten years earlier, is against this plan.

Sir Jack Nadroj, cousin of (King) Henry Nadroj VI, commented today saying: "The royal family is a legacy of Ator People that represents the very heart of the nation. It is a shame that this system of government, having worked for so many years, has been overthrown. It is my hope that the House of Citizens will realize this and make way for the rightful King of Ator People, so that violence need not break out."

The Speaker of the Senate ordered a confidential session of the House to talk over the royal family's place in government.

If the royal Nadroj family were to retake the throne, Henry VI would be named king and would essentially have complete control over the nation, though the House of Citizens would remain to pass laws (with the king having an unconditional veto) and take care of many administrative duties within the country, though they woul undoubtedly have less power than they currently do.

Rio Ciudad - Today in the capital city the confidential session of the House of Citizens was closed, and the results of the decision announced. The vote was 41 to 29, in favor of restoring the monarchy to the throne. However, the Prime Minister made a shocking announcement after the votes were revealed.

Prime Minister Andrew vetoed the motion, saying it was influenced by outside forces and was not thought out completely. Though legally, there is no mention of a Prime Minister's right to a veto in the constitution, Prime Minister Andrew is backing up his claim to the veto saying it is for the "good of the country" and he has sent the Rio Ciudad City Guard to keep the Nadroj family from entering the city. The House of Citizens, on the other hand, has ordered the Terrain de Poisson Provincial Militia to escort the family into the capital city.

This news service will not furthur speculate on the results of any possible conflict.

The heavily armed bomber planes of Fedele flew overhead dropping their loads onto the royal palace as paratroopers came down with the intent of restoring the constitutional and democratically elected government.

Well the constitutionality of the Prime Minister, though "democratic" in a sense, was not exactly legal, as the Prime Minister overthrew the monarchy violating the founding charter of the island.

The Apollon Army marched in to Ator with 10 battalions of troops and invaded the royal capital city of Ator.

A division of the Atorian Royal Army has been deployed to defend the city. The Senators have been escorted out of the city via a secret tunnel, and luckily the royal family was in their home castle located in Nadroj at the time.

The division of infantry, made up of about 15,000 soldiers, is led by Major General, Sir Matthew Nadroj, Knight of The Royal Crown.
