Establishing a reasonable influence requirement to join the Security Council

A few months ago @Sil Dorsett made this observation in his Vice Delegate's report: I'm not sure how many people saw this, I personally only found it some time later because I accidentally changed pages while viewing the Vice Delegate's Desk thread and this was conveniently located at the bottom...

[GA—AT VOTE—FOR] Repeal: “World Assembly Headquarters”

The arguments supporting this repeal are incredibly weak and if it is the real world, any pretence that an organisation such as the WA could operate without a physical headquarters would be utter nonsense. If this is what the government believes makes for a so-called improvement in the quality...

[GA—AT VOTE—FOR] Repeal: “World Assembly Headquarters”

Against. GA#8 is an iconic resolution that should not lose its existence to NatSovs. A HQ is absolutely necessary for an organisation of this scope, and the authors of the repeal clearly have no intention of replacing it. The double taxing aspect which the repeal makes out to be a big issue is...

Greitbart: ENDORSES HALSONI - the best Vice Delegate ever

Halsoni healed the divisions between me and my wife. There are no divisions Halsoni could not heal.

Error in the Special Judicial Election

Yes, that's what I meant as well. I was posting in a rush and didn't check my phrasing. Guess that's a lesson for me.

    Voter Eligibility Reform Bill

I don't see why we should separate eligibility criteria for elections and RA votes. The proposed rules can be easily applied to both. The Speaker can easily identify who was the last citizen who applied before a vote started when counting RA votes.

    Voter Eligibility Reform Bill

Then they would not be an eligible voter. But if the Speaker didn't process citizenship applications for five days then we got bigger problems.

Confirmation of Pallaith as Election Commissioner

Pallaith is a part of the cabal. We should not be giving them more control over our elections. No support.

    Voter Eligibility Reform Bill

Not sure why anyone would do this a whole month before the election. It would be start of May. 1. This is a cheap shot. 2. As many people have already explained, people are already able to do this under the current laws, the most this change would do is give candidates one more day or so to get...

    Voter Eligibility Reform Bill

Realistically it gives candidates about one more day to do what you described, in comparison to existing laws. Hardly opening the floodgates.

    Voter Eligibility Reform Bill

None of this is something that couldn’t already happen under the current laws. That’s the argument Sil is making.

Picairn for Delegate 2.0 - Mobilis in Mobili

Picairn, your opponent spends a great deal of his platform talking about the lack of activity in the executive staff and how he wants to address it. Obviously, you also recognise that the problem exists, but you don't seem to have placed as much of a focus on it. Whatever obstacles you...

Chipoli for Delegate - A Stronger Tomorrow

Chipoli, I think it's clear you've put a lot of thinking behind this platform, but personally for me, having witnessed many delegacies and delegate campaigns through the years, I can't help but feel a lot of your plans are just retreading old ground and reheating old ideas. I will preface this...

    Halsoni for Vice Delegate

Ruben, it's clear that you've done a lot of research prior to running for this position, I have no questions about your qualifications, and I think you understand the significance of the office and understand the standard of behaviour that is expected. Honestly, there is only one section of a VD...

    The Open Elections Act

I am generally opposed to DM campaigning but I believe outlawing it would be a step too far and would indeed be unconstitutional under the Bill of Rights. Any current restrictions on speech are placed on types of speech that are unequivocally harmful - for example, perjury perverts the course of...
