Well just name everything whatever you like in your factbook, every nation might name things different, for instance I refer to the strait as the Divide, and the continent as Osttir. Its all perspective.

Cogoria believes in the event of a tie, a reelection consisting of those that tied be held, with a short period in which to cast a vote. This is by far the fairest method as it allows those nations that voted for neither, to have a say in which one takes the seat.

And there is a reason for going all grimdark, need to set Cogoria as a bit more "edgy and devious" so other nations hop in on future plans so I can reshape it without a simple retcon
