[GA - PASSED] Ending School Segregation

A proposal legislating on broader education quality as much as segregation, “Ending School Segregation” aims to ensure that all students in member nations have equal opportunities to attain a pluralistic and social education. The proposal accomplishes this by declaring all children as generally...

Prosecution Appointment for The North Pacific v. New Francois

Mr Speaker, with all due respect to The Rt. Hon. Member Tlomz, asking about the elements of a specific crime is a rather specific question already. More specific than a scenario even.

For the last time I am not going to stage a coup in tnp

Let's ignore this. The Court is sufficiently capable to deal with this matter without needing this sort of discussion.

[GA - PASSED] Sovereign Justice Accord

As author, present. In real life, countries have recognised the problems that such international civil proceedings can cause, and responded by recognising state immunity. That, however, is no good solution to the problem, as it fails to hold nations accountable. This is the most elegant...

    [GA - FAILED] Pedagogical Freedom

I don't think your examples are convincing, given IAO - a 'God committee' - is doing the balancing.

    [GA - FAILED] Pedagogical Freedom

It establishes two rights (parents can direct education children + appropriate and adequate education for children). There is no sign one trumps the other. Hence, balancing.

    [GA - FAILED] Pedagogical Freedom

I see that some oppose, seemingly on false grounds. The proposal requires that all people be given an "adequate and appropriate" education. The IAO - not members - define this, preventing abuse. Thus the kind of things some fearmonger about will not actually be taught.

    [GA - FAILED] Pedagogical Freedom

For. The first section establishes, implicitly, a good balancing test w/r/t pedagogical freedom.

    [GA - FAILED] Pedagogical Freedom

A fairly benign proposal at first glance, "Pedagogical Freedom" aims to establish a balancing test with regards to the freedom of parents and legal guardians to interfere in the education of their children. However, this is where the problems begin. The proposal attempts to insert a supposed...

[GA - FAILED] Repeal: "Supporting and Valuing the Humanities"

I will keep it short because I'm typing on my phone. First, to say that the GAO must act on "any" report is not a proper interpretation of the target resolution. Not just does the target resolution not use this wording, it does the opposite. In clause 4, the DEA is created with the explicit...

[GA - FAILED] Repeal: "Supporting and Valuing the Humanities"

I don't think the "Interpreting..." clause is a good faith interpretation of the target resolution. Besides that, the other reasons listed do not seem particularly strong. Yes, some nations will pay for other nations, but that's true for every use of the Fund—the proposal fails to explain why...
