Support Islandwalk for Secretariat. If you want The North Pacific to have an even more significant voice in the World Assembly, you should upvote the dispatch and vote for Islandwalk when the time comes.
I personally wandered off while AG, so yes. I'm pretty sure it caused an issue. But back then, there were no deputies, so things should be smoother now.
I generally support the changes. Some of the procedures have been deleted from the LC, though. Should we put back something to establish a protocol in the event an AG cannot not complete a trial? Do we need a provision for trials which are onging beyond the end of a term?
My challenge has always been switching quickly among puppets. I know there are tools for this, but I don't understand them. If someone could walk me through it, I might do better. (And pretend you are explaining it to your grandmother.)
When the law was first written, BC was a relatively new feature. We weren't at all sure how its use would play out. We were more wary of possible misuse of the ban button. We can see throughout the last 10 years this hasn't happened. And it isn't going to happen. Over time, the SC's influence...
Currently Border Control powers are linked to the Security Council's Line of Succession. This can result in situations where those with BC may not have enough influence to be effective. It can also be constraining with respect to having coverage over multiple time zones. We can fix this:
Here...
"I appreciate you."
Now it sounds like a positive thing, but I find it mildly creepy. "Thank you" will do. Then I can reply "You're welcome." How does one respond to "I appreciate you?"
"As you should!"
Oh no, UPS Rail/Sir Paul was very funny and had a real flair for satire. I don't think we could ever have a worse delegate than the three-headed dog of Pixiedance.
I want to take a moment to thank Ghost for putting this event together, and especially for providing all those delegate highlights...
Delegate:
1. < Halsoni >
Would you like to reopen nominations? < Yes >
Vice Delegate: < Chipoli >
Would you like to reopen nominations? < Yes >
Speaker: < Foskeburg >
Would you like to reopen nominations? < No >
If we don't want to cut the next term down to 2 months, there could be another way. One idea is to do 2 consecutive 3-month terms. Push the next election back to December instead of November. That would get us on track for March, July, and November elections.
I support this. The systems in place for the speaker's office are lightyears better than what the region struggled with before. I would like to think they can manage the schedule just fine. At any rate, it should be at the speaker's discretion.
There are good reasons why the RA has designated Mandatory Ministries. It does not mean that the idea of a military is enough. We want and need different people dong those jobs. It is the Delegate's job to, well, delegate.
There is an economic concept of comparative advantage. Applied here...
In the past, the rule was that if the Delegate did not fill a mandatory position, the RA had the authority to do it. The law was clear there were to be separate individuals in the roles of delegate and minister. One reason this may not have come up after those clauses were altered, is because...
The vitality of the NPA is important to all of us. I want to look at the issue from another angle. BW, in your view are there any actions from which our soldiers ought to be restricted? If so, what are they?
Please reword the second sentence from "may" to "shall."
This proposal follows the insidious trend of expanding the powers of the Delegate. I am continually amazed at the RA's willingness to have it's own power eroded. Is it going to take a nasty dictator to wake us up and restore the balance...
I can think of other reasons a Delegate might want to exercise total control over all the executive functions. The garden-variety despot with an authoritarian bent, for example.
