I still like the idea of this proposal despite its provenance, but the latest draft has some real issues: plagiarism of Wikipedia, a completely unheralded and undefined inspections system, and a pronounced lack of clarity.

The replacement is obviously just for show, and I doubt they'll actually try to pass it. Not that I'd want to see a replacement on this particular issue. Yet the repeal's arguments are so fallacious that I am in the odd position of opposing the original resolution, the repeal, and the replacement.

The proposal's been removed, by the way, and the absence of a statement by the mods suggest it was withdrawn by the author rather than deleted for rules violations.

This is an utterly abysmal proposal, and I'm deeply concerned that the mods haven't acted on the legality challenge. I think the wait suggests they're going to wriggle out of declaring it illegal, and do so at such a late stage there's no time to challenge it.
