Repeal "Injunct UEPU"
Category: Repeal | Target: SC#493
Proposed by: Landbang Rkipo Islands, Co-authored by: Tinhampton | Onsite Topic
Replacement: None

The Security Council,

Grateful for the support of the defender community in coming to the UEPU's assistance in their time of need; as well as the hard work of Minskiev, Westinor, Ostrovskiy, and Obrimenja in writing its Injunction,

Recognising that, while the UEPU was Injuncted in order to ensure that its natives could continue to enjoy the benefits of residing in their own independent Frontier, the vast majority of these natives now look forward to relocating to the safe haven of Grandterre,

Knowing that the government of the UEPU seeks to transition their home region away from being a Frontier, so that it may become a permanent record of the regional community's legacy and heritage even after the migration to Grandterre is finalised, and

Adamant that, in order to facilitate this final chapter in the UEPU's history, this body has no option but to strike down its Injunction:

Hereby Repeals SC#493: Injunct UEPU.
Note: Only votes from TNP WA nations, NPA personnel, and those on NPA deployments will be counted. If you do not meet these requirements, please add (non-WA) or something of that effect to your vote. If you are on an NPA deployment without being formally registered as an NPA member, name your deployed nation in your vote.

  • Vote Against if you want the Delegate to vote Against the resolution.

Information For Voters

Vote AGAINST Repeal “Injunct UEPU”.

Overview
The proposal begins by appreciating the support for the target resolution that this proposal seeks to repeal. It claims the community wishes to transition away from being a frontier, and thus this injunction shall be repealed in the native’s wishes, and that the target resolution does not serve its original purpose effectively given developments in the community.

Recommendation
Whilst we usually would be inclined to support native wishes, unfortunately, this region has been linked to problematic regions and possible actions, and we are not inclined to support this proposal for that reason.

Therefore, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote AGAINST “Repeal ‘Injunct UEPU’”.
