Hi Everyone. So this will be my first attempt at actually starting an RP and I have decided to make it my countries war of Independence. Not all of the details are together yet but here is what I have so far:

For years, Jacksonville has been oppressed by the oligarch Yakovlev family. They have ruled with an iron fist, even though the claim to let the Parliament do any true work. This has not gone unnoticed by the generals in the different parts of the Armed Forces, and has even made it ways into the Chiefs of Staff. They are proposing to overthrow the government in what will become the Jacksonville War of Independence. Due to them being small in number, they are calling on the support of other nations to help them overthrow the oppressive dictator family and establish a true, democratic government based on true Jacksonville ideals.

Now, I know many of you are like Master RP'rs, so if you don't like the idea, please go easy on me, cause like I said, this is my first time attempting something like this.
 
The Rose League will not get involved on a military level due to our neutral status on the international stage and will not take a side in the conflict. Having said that, we would be willing to send negotiators / mediators at the tail end of the conflict to oversee the cease fire / peace process and help your country transition towards democracy, that is if that is your end goal with the entire role play scenario.

The general time period in terms of technology is end of the Cold War(1985, i know it ended in 91 really, but we will start at 85), until Present day technology. No future tech. So like, no starships or anything like that. Tanks, ships, planes, artillery, and rockets all acceptable.

It won't be a bomb, it'll literally just be refined uranium, cause cogoria doesn't have nukes to trade, we just mine and refine uranium for power plants. Weapon wise we can provide huge amounts of small arms and a few tanks, all for a fee. We won't join in fighting cause why should good Cogorians die to establish a capitalist state? However we do like money. ..

We can pay 150,000,000 Jacksonville Dollars for weapons. That is all the money we have right now. We would only require weapons for now.
 
This RP will probably start in mid November or early December, but i just wanted to get the word out there so people could consider joining if they wanted to.
 
Well we can't intervene before 2011 because we were isolationist. as for the gold we tend to work in tonnes so... about 10 tonnes per operation?

No no, the time period is November or December 2016. The TECHNOLOGY period starts in 1985, meaning if you join, you must use weaponry from then till now. 10 tonnes is reasonable for us.

There are many different forces that will take part. The opposition, which has some socialist factions, will fight, if thats what you mean by left-wing.
 
Perhaps there can be two leftist groups that are in conflict with one another and Nebula supports the more authoritarian of the two?

As i said, the opposition of the Parliament has leftist factions that actually have paramilitaries based in them. They would be fighting as a third army, neither government nor the Conservative Independence Movement. They will fight between each other no doubt.

There are currently only three factions and only two are known by name:

The Government-Led by President Dmitry Yakovlev and his family for nearly 100 years. Most of the Government is controlled by the President, seeing as most seats in the Parliament are controlled by either his friends or his own family. He has oppressed minorities in the country and has even be known to order forced executions against people who haven't committed any crimes. The Government is also known for revoking, for the most part, the rights to Freedom of Speech, Press, and in some cases, Religion. Parties in the Government include: the GOP and the Christian Conservatives of Jacksonville City.

The Independence Movement-Led by many of the high ranking General and all the Members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. For years they have been under the oppressive rule of the President. They have been forced to do unspeakable things and have been forced to commit murder in the name of the government. The Chief of Staff of the Navy is the leader of the Independence Movement and has been known to come from a background completely opposite that of the Yakovlev family. He believes in Freedom of Speech, Press, and Religion, and when the law was made to bar them, he was very critical of it and that is when the Independence Movement was born. In the political scene, the mostly make up the Conservative Party of Jacksonville City and the Christian Democracy of Jacksonville.

The Opposition-All of the members of the Opposition of the Parliament and their paramilitaries. Currently, they make up a very small minority of the Parliament meaning that they will probably not be able to play much of a role in the war, but are strong in soldiers nonetheless. Their leader, Kirk Landis, is known for being completely against the Yakovlev family and has many times called for their removal from power. They have been known as well to support the Independence Movement as long as their voices are heard as well and their soldiers get the same treatment. Their parties include: Jacksonville Freedom Party, Democratic Party, and The Liberals of the Republic of Jacksonville City.


Like I said, this is only the beginning stages. More will be added in the future.
 
Alright, considering that it's modern, Andrenne will support the rebels, by sending in an invasion force of 50,000. They'll also supply the rebels with weapons, KP-120a Sabers (Main Battle Tanks), and offer other things when needed.
 
The Goyanean Imperial Navy has decided to start heavy patrolling along the coast of Jacksonville. The Imperial Armed Forces have pledged allegiance to the rebel faction.

Where is the loyalty of the military?
The Army and half of the Air Force are still loyal to the Federal Government. The Navy and Marines of Jacksonville are loyal to the Independence Movement. The Opposition has no military support.

What is the stance of those outside of the Parliament and Presidency?
It is noteworthy that of the 9 Supreme Court Justices, 7 are in support of the Independence Movement. Most of the Constitutional Court is in support of the Independence Movement. Of the 10 regions, 5 have military bases occupied by the Movement and about 75% of people were reported to support them, showing that they will not be targets or fight the opposition.

What does the Independence Movement promise to do?
Allow free rule of the people. While there is still an administrative government, the people are given more power and say in the government. They also promise to make schooling even through college free for everyone and will supply money to the colleges to keep them running. They will as well support the opening of more schools and hospitals. Regions will also be expanded to include 67 total counties.

Though this is small info for now, it will be very useful to point out how this is going to play out.
 
Cogoria will probably try and create a third faction by providing funds weapons and revolutionary brigades to ferment a communist revolt.
 
Gonna sneakily start a communist revolution..... Sorry, but going to commit to the global revolution from here on out
 
West Jacksonville City, Nassau City, and East Jacksonville City all sit near water. The Capital of Jacksonville City doesn't. I think Goyanes thought you mean the capital Cogoria
 
I'm sorry we can't help you. The Rebel from Hermaes in Karang haven't surrender yet.
But when they surrender, we will help the Independence side (after 2 month on your RP)
 
Goyanes... I have a question for you and something I'm hoping you can clarify... You say you are fine with Navaronia peacekeeping in the Jacksonville conflict (which means peacekeepers inside the territorial and naval borders of the country) and yet you also say that they (the peacekeepers) must stay outside the territorial waters of the NWU.

So I ask you this... which is it? Are the peacekeepers allowed to patrol and protect trade routes from Navaronia all the way into Jacksonville proper or must the peacekeepers stop at the naval border of Jacksonville (the so called territorial waters of the NWU) and risk their trade routes being lost due to the conflict?
 
Sorry about that, I will edit the post... The clarification is that if their peacekeeping with the war impedes or disrupts any operation done by the NWU or allies, or if they harass any NWU or allied vessel, they will be punished.
