~Declansburg celebrates 5 years in August
On August 4th it'll officially have been 5 years since Declansburg was founded. Thank you to our members for making Declansburg a terrific community. We'll look back on our journey as a region on this day, and we'll also look ahead - because 5 years is nice, but it's also hopefully just a milestone marker along our regional run.
~Member wins NS photograph contest
This is awkward but "Declans," as we call it, is a small town. And I was among 10 nations to win the NS photograph contest. It was kinda strange because I was the last one picked. One of the entries the mods selected was AI, apparently. My photograph made the cut after they removed the AI one. "Friends in High Places" is what the banner is now called.
~MFA wins re-election
Whoa look at that. I'm in the news again. I won re-election recently. Another 6-month term. As I understand the new GA may cause more diplomatic channels to open from time to time, please don't hesitate to reach out if there's something you need to discuss with Declansburg.
~Our map got featured after we complained about not being featured, but it didn't get featured because we complained
We noticed something kind of odd earlier this year. Our map hadn't been featured...ever. Well, after a few years of waiting I said something - turns out we were beating the odds, surviving day after day without our map being featured despite the increasing likelihood that our streak would come to an end. Well, it did. Hooray. April 2 was our day.
