Minister of Communications, Opening Address
Hello all! It's great to welcome back the Ministry of Communications after a short time in the grave. I am hugely aspirational that this Ministry can function on its own, sustainably, for the long term.

Thank you to @Halsoni for giving me the opportunity to return to the job I have the most experience in. I am coming into the position with a lot of ideas to transform media and publications in the region. One way I will work to ensure a steady and consistent output of articles is to abandon The North Star for the foreseeable future, as the Delegate alluded to in his State of the Region. Instead, singular articles, branded with The Northern Notes, will be published quickly after regional events. This way, members of the region can find out about happenings as soon as possible, rather than waiting for a large-scale publication to come out. We will be running an archive of these articles so that we can slowly build up a catalogue of regional events.

I also want to increase engagement and accessibility in the Northern Broadcast Service. One way I wish to do this is by diversifying the panels on NBS shows - instead of having all participants being senior officials, we will invite regular citizens, even those who are mostly active on the RMB, to participate. That way, we can expand the scope of voices being heard in our radio shows.

I'm really looking forward to starting work in this position, and I can't wait to work with an already assembled team of dedicated staffers. I will not be appointing Deputies at this time, although that may change in the future.

WIth regards,
AraFuttio
Minister of Communications
