And so it ends - today I pack up my things, clean out the large mahogany desk originally used by Tresville, and burn a select few papers located in a locked drawer in my filing cabinet. Soon, I will walk past my fellow NPA soldiers at Fort Magicality and board a helicopter off to forced exile, as is the inevitable fate of all MoDs. This term, the North Pacific Army deployed in crucial support of allies in The Outback, The Wellspring, and the continuing operation in England. Further, the NPA participated in what is being called the largest military operation in NationStates history, supplying 13 troops as part of a 220+ endorsement coalition. The NPA also engaged in plenty of other antics, which you can read about in Greitbart and which I do not remember, because I was very drunk when they happened. I am very grateful for all the NPA soliders who contributed to these successes. I also have an award to hand out in recognition.

For his service to the NPA over the course of his long and distinguished career here, I am proud to present to Picairn the probably overdue Order of Service. I initially inducted Picairn into the ranks of the NPA during the raid of Solidarity, and I am very proud of all his service to the region.

A few hours after I post this address, a new Minister of Defence (I don't know who, so don't ask!) will be announced, and I look forward to supporting them in any capacity I can as a General and member of the High Command. Before I go, I would like to make a point about military gameplay in NationStates. The future of the NPA does not lie in speeches, or election promises, or armchair commanders. It lies in the efforts of NPA soldiers who are on the ground, representing us and engaging with the ever-changing game. I hope that future delegates remember to place energy, ambition, and leadership ahead of experience and deep knowledge of the game.

Warmly,
Comfed
