Overview
Kunjasglalas, officially known as the Confederation of Kunjasglalas, is a landlocked country in central Meterra. The country is bordered by Yekteniya to the east, and Yamantau to the south. The country is covered by a mountain range to the north and east known as the Qrimizi Mountains, and in the centre and south the country is dominated by plains and small forests. It has a population of 23 million people consisting mostly of ethnic Kunjassy people, with a minority of Yekteniyans and Yamantau in the border regions. It is a federal republic composed of 23 states. The official language is Kunjassic. Suvara is the capital and largest city.
The country traces its origins to the 106 clans that came from eastern Meterra in order to escape the Kianese conquest. The tribes were lead by eight Khagans during a period known as the Long March where the tribes crossed the Qrimizi Mountains and settled in central Meterra after conquering the local Volshovan tribes, and eventually establishing the Kunjas Khagante. The Eight Khagans came together after the conquest and made an oath to establish an elective system of government and to respect the autonomy of each tribe. Throughout its history, the Khagante kept an active policy of raiding and pillaging neighbouring states, however the tribes also maintained trade and diplomatic relations with many of their neighbours, through marriage alliances and mercenary contracts.
Kunjasglalas is a developed high-income country, with a universal healthcare and free education.
