Orbit of Hjak Atret Planet 1
Wittar Kulfd, Kherz-et Mot
Dark, gloomy thunderstorms could be seen from far away as the starship Tettuek hovered around the large, red-skinned planet of Hjak Atret. The inhabitants and scientists on the ship were conducting research into the undisputably inhabitable planet, with targeted radars pointing towards various spots on the giant - all with different data and results, with the margin of error being absolutely ginormous.
"Here, look at the results. It's definitely something." Oyvk-ketz-Eyyt Haluuretz manuevered one of his twenty, blue tentacles to point towards the device. "There's winds of up to almost 2,000 asselentz, look, the movement. It's going straight. That's not normal for this type, is it?"
"Definitely. I'll need to ask Kebetz to check for signs of mountains or hills - it's strange wind behavior, usually the winds flow much more haphazardly than this. KEBETZ! Could you check for signs of altitude? Something's up with this planet." The woman, a two-handed two-legged creature, broke her eyes off Haluu's screen and towards Kebetz's station, walking semi-fast with heavy footsteps sounding around her boots. The science lab was crowded; Tettuek could hold maybe up to a hundred to two-hundred people, and there were around forty-six scientists in this room alone. She had to twist and maneuver her body in order to arrive to her destination. "Kebetz, you got anything?"
"Not so far, Mylaie." Kebetz moved his head forward and started typing some calculations for god-knows-what. "I'm trying to put in specific formulas in order to effectively measure for any signs of hills or such, but so far, it looks like it's mostly flat."
"But where is it getting that wind speed from? It's only about a thousandth of the wind back at Aik-Sorror, this has to be one of the windiest planets in the history of the universe. And hell, Aik-Sorror is windy even by Kirven standards..."
The Kirven were a species that were integrated into the gesGuyfKlhyme quite some time ago - they were experts of the wind, and had developed over time to have natural hooks able to withstand strong wind by the time that they encountered Pem. Their home planet, Sazarki, had winds as high as 10 asselentz, which was very windy to creatures such like Mylaie... it was almost like a tornado was daily routine.
"Honestly? No clue. The wind down there is enough to blow basically anything away."
"Yeah, but you'd have to- oh, I think I got something on my device."
She turned her head around to look at her station, and sure enough, the mild vibration that was sent through her body was a notification. She left the side of Kebetz and walked towards her station, sitting down on her reliable office chair and clicking on the message sent.
To Mylaie J.S. Saivre, starship Tettuek:
Hello, Ngakad here. I've looked over your data for the moon that you dubbed 'Mester-fet-Pattorie' (wonder how you came up with that! - the name lodged in the systems is currently M-114127-003 though) and the data does look a bit weird to me. I've taken the liberty of submitting the data to the local USRC here in our sector - which would be Kuurkeise Planet 6. I believe that you should be somewhere near Sert-Uurtes - maybe Hjak Atret or Mpelzakonzo - so you should come to Kuurkeise soon. I can meet you there once you've landed - in maybe a few days or so? I'd expect delays being in such a remote part of the galaxy.
Looking forward to your response. - Ngakad-er Siettek U.Q-N, Messenment Planet 2
Messenment. That's maybe about two systems away from Kuurkeise. Definitely much nearer than whatever backwater area of the wild she was in.
She made up a mental note in her mind to pack up her things tonight as she closed the message - and she was glad to do so; she'd been on the starship for a few months now. It was about time for her to get off this darn thing.
'Estimating coordinates... Destination Kuurkeise. 13 systems away. Confirm jump to hyperspace.'
"Confirm jump to hyperspace."
'Preparing to jump to Eisse-Tort-Mert-Aidine'Zavot...'
"Who in their right mind names their system that?"
'Ready to jump in one minute.'
As the transport ship slowly powered up, Mylaie looked outside towards the red giant. It was beautiful from afar - she could see the large yellow clouds slowly move in real-time, which looked much slower than it would be on the surface. The red-yellow striked a brilliant contrast, but the cherry on the top was the large yellow mist in the distance, that she could guess was almost two hundred - maybe three hundred? - systems away to the south. The gesGuyfKlhyme had expanded for a long time towards the source but they hadn't reached the end of it yet... life's greatest mystery.
'Powering up. Getting ready to jump.'
Mylaie shuffled herself in her seat to allow more space.
'Jumping in three... two... one...'
And a brilliant flash of light enveloped the small ship.
