The suspects’ insurance company, which officials did not name, sought an investigation after reviewing the attached grainy black-and-white video footage. The suspects allegedly used a white bear costume to damage their luxury vehicles and claim insurance payouts, The North Pacific officials announced.
Detectives working under Defense Minister @Cosmic - which had been summoned to do the dirty work since TNP has never had such crimes, and the Security Council's mandate apparently did not include vehicle security, despite the name - reviewed the footage, which showed a large, furry creature entering the vehicles and causing scratches and other interior damages, and concluded “it was actually a person in a white bear costume.”
Delegate @Picairn added, “although The North Pacific Zoo has been missing a white bear since 1 May 2024, that bear is much too fat to fit into a Mercedes vehicle.” Picairn added, “the 2010 Rolls Royce Ghost actually belongs to Pallaith, the current chief justice of The North Pacific, and no one can really damage a ghost car owned by a ghost. I think the suspects from the Brotherhood of Malice did not realise that."
"To further ensure it was not actually a bear in the video, the TNP Police had a biologist from the Department of Fish and Wildlife review the three alleged bear videos and they also opined it was clearly a human in a bear suit,” Cosmic pointed out.
This was further confirmed by former Delegate @El Fiji Grande , who recalled visited the missing white bear just before its disappearance, and confirmed that the missing white bear has way too big a head to fit inside a car, even a Mercedes. “The last time I saw that missing white bear, it was drinking bottles of red wine like water. And its face was red. And couldn't walk a straight line. It also has a really big head. There’s just no way it was capable of committing such crimes,” El Fiji Grande said.
Detectives from TNP Police found a bear costume and meat claws, which are used by chefs to shred meat, in the suspects’ home after executing a search warrant granted by the Court of the TNP. TNP Police also noted that @Pallaith made sure to recuse himself from granting the search warrant since one of the cars allegedly damaged was his, even though it was not apparent why a ghost actually needed a car, much less an expensive Rolls Royce, and the recusal appears to have been done purely to avoid an R4R.
On a separate note, former Delegate @Blue Wolf II added, "as part of legal reforms, it is apparent that The North Pacific must amend the Legal Code so that the Security Council's mandate extends to vehicular security. We still have not resolved the case of the bear that escaped from The North Pacific Zoo in the first place. Bears are much scarier than wolves."
