Discord Integration - How add, remove, and change settings

After registering your forum account, it is important that you link your Discord Account to your profile. This will allow you to access a wide range of channels in the North Pacific Discord. It will also allow you to notifications via your Direct Messages about post in threads your are watching, post that mention you, and any Conversations you may receive.

How to link your account:
1. Go to your account settings, Connected Accounts.



2. Click Associate Account



3. Log into Discord with the main Discord account you are using in the North Pacific Discord.

4. Authorize the association.



5. Once you authorize, you will be forwarded back to the forums, and you will be asked to enter your forum password. Enter your password and hit Associate. This is the final confirmation and your account is now linked.






Alerts Sent via Discord:
Once associated, you will automatically receive a message via Discord when either an alert or a conversation message occurs. This will be sent from the bot "Hersfold". If you wish to disable one or both of the message types, please follow the steps below.
Messages To Disable Alert DMs.
1. Go to the Forums and select your account Preferences.


2. Remove the check-mark from one or both of these two boxes.
Alert = the bell icon and Conversation Message = the mail icon.








To remove your Discord Account (or switch to a different account).
1. Go to Connected Accounts.

2. Check the box for Disassociate Discord Account, and Select Confirm Disassociation.

3. If you wish to associate a different Discord account, simply follow the set up steps (but login to the new Discord account).
