Opening Statement​

Well, I truly did not expect to be called rather out of the blue to act as Minister of World Assembly Affairs, especially as a result of four government officials resigning en masse. I would like to thank @Gorundu for offering me the opportunity to serve in the position. I would also like to thank @Pallaith and @Chipoli for giving me advice in stepping up to this role. However, even if my appointment was unexpected, the purpose of the position is first and foremost to serve the region. My own personal opinions on the resignations are largely irrelevant here; my goal will be to keep the Ministry running smoothly even in such challenges the government and region are having to deal with.

All Deputies have been doing a very good job over the last term, and I believe that each of them will be an invaluable asset to the Ministry in their current positions. To that end, the current team of Deputies shall be retained. @Simone, due to their extensive contributions to the Ministry, including through writing IFVs and their guide thereto, as well as their experience as an active and prolific WA author, shall be appointed as Executive Deputy of WA Affairs, and should take their oath. However, as I was previously serving as a Deputy until now, there is one vacant Deputy position. If anyone wants to take up the position, I am expecting that they be an active contributor to the Ministry, whether in writing IFVs, commenting on proposals, or whatever else. Please message me on Discord (red_canine) you meet this and are interested.

In this term, ultimately my goal will be less so to improve the status quo, and more so to simply keep the Ministry running smoothly in the face of adversity. The main project I want to materialise during this term is the gameside voting program; by establishing a telegram-based outreach system to TNP WA nations announcing new gameside votes so as to increase engagement, as currently done with IFVs. This would occur with the goal of making the gameside voting a permanent feature, as opposed to merely a temporary test run. This will also require an update to the WA Voting policy, which I intend on introducing for the remainder of this term. Otherwise, if any problems arise which could not be foreseen, they will naturally be addressed as they arise -- my focus will be on keeping the status quo running smoothly.

I would like to conclude this opening statement by reiterating my thanks to Gorundu for offering me the position, all current Deputies, and those who have helped guide me both for this position and in the past; especially Ghost and Chipoli as mentioned earlier; as well as The Macabees, who is not in TNP but is likely my best mentor on NS, without whom I likely would not be here to begin with.
