I'll try to keep this short ish. My nation is a mix of IRL France, & Spain. Like yours truly. France has the higher DB by far, which, historically being a main European power, makes sense. Their db is about 46 Billion this this year. They plan to +3 billion every coming fiscal year. I want a bigger, well funded, shiny military. What right leaning, nationalistic, monarchist nation doesn't? However realism matters. I was thinking a db of 50-60 billion for a modern, 80 million pop nation is realistic. No?
1% of 80 million is 800,000, but for a nation at peace, that's insane for a standing army. Especially when Justosia traditionally prizes its navy first, air force second, army third. 800k should be my absolute max. Crazy war time extenuating circumstances not included. Reserves & my Civil Guard included.
Navies are slightly easier. Advanced frigates for example, are kinda relatively similar. My one question would be, hypersonic missiles? Only for the largest, most advanced nations yes? For either navies or air forces?
Finally, 5th gen fighters, same? Allowed depending on how you rp their development?
