OOC Note: While I refer to the creation of the cosmos etc. I don't mean to imply anything beyond my map claim–I don't mean to claim that my deities here created all of Sorras.
Oh-Sol Period
The land of Xuthien was created untold thousands of years ago when the timeless nothing rotated itself into a single point, which then split off into eight points. These eight points, representing the culmination of all of reality, were the Geirahn. Little is known about many of the Geirahn due to later events. Of the eight, the two who are known are Yazraoul, the Keeper of Heaven, and Teroh, the Keeper of Earth. These two Geirahn, without seeking the approval of the others, weaved the timeless nothing into time itself. This they folded over a vast region, creating Heaven where Yazraoul touched it and Earth itself where Teroh touched it. Thus Yazraoul and Teroh became the Creators.
The other Geirahn saw this development and cursed Yazraoul and Teroh, who had perturbed the timeless nothing in which they had rested for eons. They tried to weave the timeless nothing themselves, and tried a thousand other things to create something to bend to their will, but found that they could not. Thus they adopted positions surrounding the Cosmos, forever invisible to those inside it, but never coming so close as Yazraoul and Teroh, upon whom they gazed sternly.
However, they did not try to stop them. This was because the Cosmos was large and neither Yazraoul nor Teroh were prepared for the forces they had unleashed. The Earth turned into Turwessettellerlat, the first dragon, of infinite mouths. Teroh was unable to control it because it was a creation of the threads of time he had weaved in the first place. Meanwhile, in Heaven, Yazraoul's creations the Serads did not possess the ability to defend themselves. While they were by any standard immensely powerful beings they lacked motivation or the desire to fight anything and they were all devoured by Turwessettellerlat.
Yazraoul and Teroh, determined to continue their creation and aware of the derisive laughter from the rest of the Geirahn at their failures, decided that Yazraoul would create a new people, the Tessero, who would be able to defend themselves against Turwessettellerlat. They received a very small portion of the violent character of Turwessettellerlat, in addition to the intellect which the Geirahn passed on to them. Thus they became the first beings to fight Turwessettellerlat, and also the first beings to be evil. They combined their own minds together and offered one quarter of their number to attack Turwessettellerlat as a decoy. While the monster immediately devoured the decoy, the rest had just enough time to impale it in its single eye, which fell out of its body and flew across the cosmos to become the sun, sitting in between Heaven and Earth.
Turwessettellerlat, deprived of a means of sensing, immediately settled, as it could see nothing to devour. It is still alive to this day, and where it stuck out its head to devour the decoys is Mount Paescnae. During the battle, the entire decoy force and most of the rest of the Tessero as well were destroyed, either because they were devoured or crushed to death as Turwessettellerlat settled into place. Left was the land, which all Xuth set foot on every day, which Teroh filled with life, creating the plants, animals, seas and fish. At this point it should be said that not all Tessero died, and a few survivors continued to roam the cosmos. They were largely aimless as they were effectively only created with the purpose of defeating Turwessettellerlat, but whenever they encountered anything living they killed it. Yazraoul, horrified, banished them from the cosmos, where they formed the dark kingdom Hoarchengard in the timeless void. As time went on, deities would sometimes intercede in preventing the dead from entering Heaven by banishing them there.
Ah-Shilo Period
Yazraoul and Teroh, having vanquished all the earliest threats to the survival of the cosmos, decided on a new plan to create intelligent beings without the listlessness of the Serads or the evil of the Tessero. They decided that the only way it could exist in any controlled fashion was if they worked together in both Heaven and Earth to create the world.
In Heaven, Yazraoul created the four Tehru, one corresponding to each of Teroh's cardinal directions. Then he created the Nahru, lesser deities but in no way subservient to or created by the Tehru. Finally he created the Ahru, retainers of the Tehru and Nahru.
Each of the Tehru and the Nahru received their own kingdoms in Heaven, and the four kingdoms of the Tehru formed the High Empire in Heaven. The Tehru Notolector of the North was crowned Emperor of the High Empire in addition to his own kingdom.
On Earth, Teroh created the Xuth. These people were not bestowed with the heavenly or cosmic powers of Teroh, Yazraoul or indeed Turwessettellerlat. They received instead the reflections of the characters of Yazraoul and Teroh, and in time many of them would discover the connections between Earth and Heaven that the two Creators had left. This is a decision that some of the Xuth would come to deeply regret and try to overcome, bringing ruin to themselves and all Xuth and often earning themselves entry into Hoarchengard.
The Xuth had souls, an idea of the other Geirahn in the timeless nothing. In their conception, the soul would be a timeless thing, both immortal and under the control of the Geirahn because they created them. However, as they created the first souls, Notolector attempted to intervene, as timeless creations were a threat to the power of the Tehru. He failed, however, his intervention caused there to be a design flaw in souls, making them almost, but not quite, unbreakable.
