To belatedly mark Turtle Day - a celebration of the exploits of the great saviour of NationStates, Eluvatar, we are holding a creative competition!!

Show me your best turtle themed art, poems, stories, etc. Anything creative and turtle themed goes! The winners and that is plural, will receive a random legendary!!!!

Once upon a midnight splendid
I discovered the great
The sensational swell snapping
It was happing
The lovely lovely liking
My mind always strays to turtles
Remembering many good-looking, classy salamanders
Quoth the major, 'Mind the sanders!'
i generated this with 20% effort
 
'Twas two nights after Christmas, and NS was down.
The rum and the eggnog had almost ran out!
The server's hamster wheel had broken down,
nobody knew what to do!

Alas! From the darkness
Light had returned,
And then he slowly rose
As the savior of us all!

Elu, the turtle! They brought back the site again!
By the will of Flemingovia, chaos won't reign again!

Elu, the turtle! Thanks to them we now roam free!
Free to talk, to vote, to endorse them all
And get our cards; Hooray!

This is some random facts about turtles:
A turtle can live about six months without it’s brain.
A turtles shell is part of the turtles body. It’s a skeleton that’s connected to the turtle.
The biggest turtle is called the leatherback sea turtle.
Turtles have lived for 230 million years.
Turtles have a lower shell called a ‘plastron’ and an upper shell called a ‘carapace’.
Turtles have baby tooth within an hour after birth. They get their baby tooth because they need to cut out of their egg.
There are seven species of marine turtles.
After turtles lose their baby tooth they don’t have teeth anymore.
1 in 1000 marine turtle hatchlings makes it to adulthood.
A turtle is dumb.
