Hello!

It's with great excitement that I announce the beginning of Delegates Day 2022!

The North Pacific would not be the region it is today without the delegates who have stepped up when it matters and drive our region forward. Woven into the history books, the democracy we benefit from so significantly in our region was fought for and won, the fantastic stories of years of experience written in gold, and the fires in the hearts of roleplayers, ministers, and citizens ignited. It is a position that few in the thousands of TNPers who have constituted our community over the years ever take up, and even fewer who shine in the halls of former delegates as true pioneers. Though the responsibilities and expectations of such an office are vast, it has produced the most respected and talented individuals The North Pacific has ever seen. Twenty years of delegates have led up to the current administration, and for all of the rich history and significant progress that has taken place, we must dedicate this day.

We begin the day by flying the flags of former delegates on our regional homepage as an ode to their place in the larger picture, from all the way back in 2003 to the present day in 2022.

Since the 6th, we've been sharing some appreciation for our favorite delegates throughout the history of the North Pacific. The 24 responses submitted so far have now been released in the Delegates Appreciation Box thread, so go check them out, especially if you are a former delegate yourself! For the next seven days, the Delegates Appreciation Box will still be open to everyone to submit responses! It doesn't matter which delegate you pick (former or current), just as long as you share genuine positivity, perhaps a great memory you have of them, and overall appreciation for who they are and what that delegate means to you. To do so, all you need to do is fill out the Google response form. You can also fill out the form multiple times with different delegates, and if you want to go unnamed when your response is shared, the name part of the form is completely optional.

Every Thursday, the Ministry of Culture decides a new theme of the week for everyone to inspire avatars, both on the forums and on Discord. In line with Delegates Day, the theme for the week starting September 9th and ending September 16th will be world leaders, past or present. As our delegates have left their legacies and contributions to TNP, so have leaders who have championed great causes, left behind positive legacies, and made the world a better place. To participate, check the announcements channel in the TNP Discord for more information on the theme, and the TNP events channel for some examples of existing submissions.

As part of the ongoings in the radio branch of the Ministry of Culture under the administration of Pallaith, our current delegate, and in the series of events we'd like to bring to the forefront during the day, I'd like to announce that two new NBS shows have been published on the official NBS Radio YouTube channel for you to enjoy! First, we have a captivating roleplay reading of 'For the King, To Valhalla' by Prydania, a signal of what is come in elevating the great stories told by the finest roleplayers in our community, and second, 'The News Show' by myself, Vivanco, and Hulldom, where we discuss all the happenings of the term, the futures of various ministries, and much more.

Thank you all for your responses and I can't wait to see some participation!
