The sun burned brightly today he thought as he opened the curtains in his apartment, he looked out the window at the sprawling metropolis before getting ready for the day.
After his normal morning routine he walked out the door and onto the streets of Hetori making sure to stay out of the way of the hover cars as he walked to the station.
He looked up and saw the massive form of a Federal Navy Battlecruiser sitting docked to the Spire he knew it was taking every ounce of power to the engines to not let that battlecruiser fall.
He shook the thought from his head and stepped onto the tram that was heading to the city center
After about 4 minutes the tram pulled into the city center and he stepped off stretching his back as he walked towards the office building taking time to admire the towering skyscrapers around him he stopped by a food cart and scanned his bracelet and grabbing a hot sandwich before continuing on his walk.
He looked at the central government complex for a minute, he had the time to wait, the complex was massive stretching out in a circle of five kilometers in every direction from the senate building.
He checked the time and walked to his building saying hello and good morning to his receptionist before getting on the elevator and going to his office.
His coworkers greeted him and gave him the rundown on the days progress and what was currently going on and he thanked them entering his office and sitting down at his desk.
He tapped the desk and the screen came out of the desk and the holographic keyboard turned on.
He cracked his neck and began his work monitoring the status of the Federations many slip-space communications relays, if he did not do his job correctly and report any mishaps that are seen the capital could lose contact with a colony or member world, it was tiring work just watching small dots for hours on end, he always wondered why they did not just assign a AI to do this but he did not question it, sometimes the touch of a living being was needed for things like this.
He heard a rapid beeping and immediately clicked over to what it was, one of the slip space relays was showing collision with something so he contacted a navy frigate that was in the area and gave it the order to repair the relay and thought no more of it.
After the day ended he turned off the equipment and stretched before walking out of the building and back towards the tram, In the night sky he could see a bright flash in orbit that signified a ship either entering or exiting the slip. He got on to the tram and rode it home walking to his apartment and sitting down deciding to watch the news
Navion was going to experience a a large solar eclipse the next day so he decided he would stay home that day to watch it.
