September Report
September 7, 2020
Well… it’s our last Foreign Affairs Report for this term! Time certainly flies when you’re having fun. Since our last report unfortunately, Dar es Salaam had to resign as Deputy Minister. We wish them the best of luck in future adventures. Additionally, the FA team has helped with a brief in the Private Halls of the Regional Assembly on the goings on between The East Pacific and The West Pacific. Hopefully it was helpful in showing our best understanding of a situation that will likely continue to evolve.
The World Factbook has continued to chug along, this month we’ve updated the regions that have needed updating. New World Factbook publications are The Black Hawks, Stargate, Greater Dienstad, and United Kingdom. The Factbooks that have since been updated are The Allied Republic and The South Pacific. Thank you to all the ambassadors that have helped in publishing and maintaining this project, and special thanks to @Owenstacey for all the hard work done this term.
The ministry has continued to update our Diplomatic Roster, accepting new members and removing inactive ones. Eight new members have been accepted, with one applicant being denied. The following members have been assigned to regions:
@makris was appointed to the Land of Kings and Emperors
@Cosmosplosion was appointed to the International Democratic Union (later resigned)
@Armandlandia was appointed to the United Kingdom
@CD- betterThanFlash was appointed to Canada
@Arichia was appointed to Greater Dienstad
@Irvari was appointed to the International Democratic Union (replacing Cosmo)
@Robespierre was appointed to the Union of Democratic States
@Cretox State was appointed to Osiris
It’s also worth noting that we currently have a couple of vacancies to fill.
We had the good fortune of welcoming @Cretox State to the Deputy team, and he’s been extremely helpful in making sure things run smoothly. As of right now, there isn’t anything new to report on the UCR Outreach Program. With such a broad project and some unforeseen problems, it’s a struggle to get much progress done in just one term. As always, feel free to contact Tlomz if you have any ideas.
I’d like to thank the Ambassador Corps as a whole for all the hard work they’ve done in submitting World Factbooks and distributing TNS, TNL, and other necessary announcements to our embassy partners. Turnover was a bit higher for ambassadors this term, but that’s because our aim from the beginning was to give new members a chance to help as soon as possible. Overall this term, things ran very smoothly and the ambassadors were key in making sure that Foreign Affairs stayed active and got things done. None of this would be possible without you guys. Keep up the good work, and hopefully we’ll continue to see greater improvements in Foreign Affairs both internally and on the world stage next term.
