A Darker Timeline: Image of a More Pious TNP

During the debate over adopting a TNP religion, it was jokingly suggested that TNP adopt any number of alternative religions. Here's what TNP might've looked like if it had adopted one of them:

Anyone who considers taking part in governing a community knows that it is important to know where one wants to go. One does not merely lead because they wish to be powerful or important. No, one leads when they have a vision for the place they have grown to love and consider their home. This is the Importance of Vision, and it influences everything else in this, our Ecclesiastical States of The North Pacific.

The Order of Piety: The Ecclesiastic States are strong because we are a united people of the North Pacific. We have a strong desire for a thriving and generous community and make that community more and more a reality day by day. This desire, this end is housed in “The Order of Piety.” The North Pacific shall remain The North Pacific. There will be none of the unrest seen elsewhere. Our government alone takes the title of the Order and functions as an organized and efficient body given the responsibility of serving our region, protecting the Constitution, cooperating with the Judiciary, and serving our congregations. So let us take a tour of this idea, shall we through its parts.

The Secretariat for Universal Fraternity (Foreign Affairs): How a community relates to other such communities in the world is one of the most vital aspects of a government. It can be assured that this congregation will favour the olive branch before the sword, the peace of the whole above the selfish desires of the one. TNP seeks to be at peace and at least in neutral standing with all regions, most especially GCRs. There will always be disagreements among groups, but that does not mean that this should lead to hostility. TNP is the region in which all other GCRs and major regions can approach knowing that there will be a friendly and cooperative spirit. We do not associate with regions that are filled with insensitive people, especially if they are in the government. There are too many regions that justify their inhumane comments with “jokes” and “meme culture” and TNP stands taller than such low blows. This includes fascists, regions with common derogatory comments in chats that go without punishment, LGBTQ regions and overly immature/unstable regions which can by association harm TNP’s standing and integrity. The key to foreign affairs is mutual care. Never do we ask and beg allies for aid as we do nothing for them in return. Without mutuality there is no fraternity, there is no foundation to the interregional friendship.

The Inquisition for Campaigns of the Sword (NPCA): Even though diplomacy is the first act of TNP, this by no means shows weakness. When called to do so we act to bring down enemies of true community in NS. The North Pacific Crusader Army shall oppose all fascist regions, all regions that seek to harm TNP or our friends, and will fight all designated enemies of the Order. Our soldiers demonstrate obedience, efficiency, and zealotry. Raiding and defending is all about timing and listening to instructions. The more practice and instruction in these areas, the better. We continue recruitment efforts so that the sword of our region is seen with awe and even fear. There is strength in numbers and TNP certainly has them.

The Secretariat for Camaraderie and Community (Cultural Affairs): Regional affairs are about the heart of the region, that which it truly is and thus holds special importance. The aim of this congregation simply comes down to strengthening the community, where none may feel left out or estranged, and the realization of each citizen’s talents, so long as they conform. TNP shines as a whole when each member within her shines as well. The Cardinal seeks places for newcomers so that their interests may be explored whether it be writing, designing, conversation, hosting radio programs, or the like. The Order operates with the central tenet that all belong here if they are willing to give themselves to TNP and dedicate themselves to the Ecclesiastical States. TNP functions as a constant relationship between the Congregation (government) and the congresso (individual.) Each must cooperate for there to be success. With this in mind, TNP exercises a united vision and follows through on her goals. We do not allow ourselves to be aimless, where we wish to be a part of something but do not follow through fully where it can be called a success. With order, contemplation, dialogue, and imagination a coherent vision for our beloved region is realized, as the idea of one person, embodying the vision of the congregation.

Congregation for Acts of the World Assembly: Taking part in the WA is about collaboration and authorship. Too often proposals focus on political domineering where one side of a political issue drafts a resolution to outdo a political opponent. There are so many unaddressed concerns that the WA has not yet mentioned despite its operation for many years. This congregation will not only advise citizens on their vote but will also aid new authors in drafting and then submitting proposals. The WA community can seem like a daunting place that is hard to become a part of because of the big-name veterans that seem miles above newcomers (even if this is not really the case, this can be the perception of novices.) Having a WA congregation staff and Cardinal who are friendly and give real time tips and feedback creates a welcoming WA culture right here in TNP, and that most definitely strengthens the community. TNP has the power to pile or stomp a vote, and we use it often, to ensure pro-abortion resolutions are defeated.

Congregation for Culture and Celebration: Celebration is the centre of the congregation’s aim. This is the part of our community that brings joy and celebration to TNP and to our region's friends. With events, friendly competitions, games, and collaborations with other congregations, this centre of culture works so that everyone is having fun and happy to be a part of this region we call our NS home.

Congregation for Literature (Communications): This congregation is all about the expression of what TNP is to the world. This is very different from propaganda. We are not in the business of putting up a false front but truly capturing the community in snapshots of articles, videos, voice broadcasts, and even something like an art exposition. There is a focus on cold hard facts but also a more personal look into what it is like to be in and a part of TNP and a member of the Ecclesiastical State. Perspective pieces are just as important as the nuts and bolts and so this duality is kept in balance.

Congregation for Community Affirmation (Home Affairs): This congregation is integral because in many ways it is the first congregation. There are no other initiatives if there is no community to start with. This congregation has the responsibility of taking suggestions and complaints from all of TNP so that we are always listening to their concerns. It also acts as a bridge between TNP’s RP communities and the Order of Virtue so that their needs may be met. Finally, this congregation works to get newcomers settled in parts of the community that may interest them. An intake quiz is required of newcomers so that they are assigned to the correct Congregation. Kindness, openness, and friendliness are the heart of this congregation. Too many corners of NS are unwelcoming and devoid of care for others, but that is not a part of TNP’s fabric if you conform. The CCA assures that.

Congregation for Community and Wisdom (Education): The University offers an important place where the public can speak to one another about things that interest them not as mere game players but as people. It allows politics of NS to be forgotten for a moment and be replaced with casual but meaningful conversation on topics varying from theories about the creation of the universe to musings about how to write an NS issue. Every community needs an outlet for this kind of conversation, and we are proud that TNP has that space. TNPU continues to seek TNPers who conform to populate it and give it increasing rates of activity while also seeking regions that are too small for a university of their own who would want to take part in ours thus strengthening it even more. It is a project worth the time and effort and ensures the Ecclesiastical States remain strong on doctrine.

Dicastery for the Foundations (Innovation): A dicastery is not a full ministry in the traditional sense but is a recognized group of people in the community with the common goal of proposing and implementing nuts and bolts improvements to the infrastructure of TNP’s forum, on-site dispatches, and up and coming needs as new government programs get off the ground. This group is less formal like a congregational structure is prone to being, but its members are able to serve the government as new projects arise.

Dicastery for Integrity and Virtue: This is an aspect of governance that is at the heart of the Ecclesiastical States. This group advises the Pontiff on ethical and moral grounds. Being in a political body makes this necessary. A Pontiff must always be held accountable to his or her actions in this regard, lest they act selfishly for the sake of keeping power or at the expense of the region. This group is very selective and has no more than 4 or 5 people who will be in the know about government affairs and answer a moral inquiry when the Pontiff asks for advice. These members are also at the service of the Cardinals of each other ministry.

The Pontiff of the Order of Virtue: As a chivalric order, there is a shared goal in mind. Our shared goal is the betterment and consistent pouring out of our efforts for the good of our community together. The Pontiff is the leader of the Order, not a king, ruler, minister, or president, but the leader nonetheless. To lead is to put your people and your community before your own interests so that it may thrive before your eyes. That is my singular hope of the Pontiff.

The Ecclesiastical States of TNP is a shining light in NS. lt is a unique place and that deserves to be known abroad. It is home to a faithful, compliant, capable, organized, and decisive people willing to take part in a common good among regions and provide all we can for our congregation.

What new name does the Vice Delegate and Security Council get in this grand new enterprise?
I imagine it'd be something along the lines of College of Cardinals, though we could give the Vice Delegate something more pretentious - how about Servant of the Order of Virtue?

For the record this is not my platform. It was a real version that was altered by MJ to parody it. This is highly inappropriate, and unfitting of a Speaker of the RA's behavior.
