Deputies and Ministers in Home Affairs operate under a rotational schedule that divides up the crucial administrative work for the ministry each week of the month. The table below is the current Home Office schedule, and it is kept updated by the Minister of Home Affairs. Below that is a description of each job and instructions for how to properly carry out weekly assignments.
Mentoring:
When it is your turn to oversee mentoring for the week, it will be your responsibility to compile lists of newly registered members on the forum and to post them in the mentorship channel on Discord, along with a ping for mentors. To compile a mentoring list, use the "Mentoring Staging" sheet in HA's Dossier, and also open up this page: https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/profile/?key=Newest. Copy/paste the URLs for each newly registered member's profile page, picking up after the last new member contacted from the previous mentoring list, and ending with the most recently registered new member. Be sure to organize the list into these three categories: "Citizens," "Residents," and "Residents Applied for Citizenship" (RACs for short). When you post a new mentoring list, use this introduction at the beginning of the list:
It is your responsibility to update HA's Dossier with each new mentorship list, and make sure that you always list the last contacted member in the Staging sheet so that whoever picks up mentoring after you knows where you left off. Please aim to release 2-3 mentoring lists during your week, so that the lists remain relatively short and new members are contacted quickly.
Applications:
Whoever is in charge of applications has a relatively simple job for the week- just check Applications for the Executive Staff regularly in order to promptly accept or deny applicants for Home Affairs. Unless there is a special case causing the Minister of Home Affairs to exercise their discretion, accept any citizens that apply. Inform residents that apply that you will be happy to accept their application for Home Affairs as soon as they obtain citizenship. After accepting an applicant, go into "Joinable Groups" and add them to the Home Affairs group so that they will be able to access our forum immediately. Then, send them a private message on the forum using the introduction template that is posted in a different thread in this sub-forum. Lastly, be sure to update HA's Dossier adding new staff members accordingly.
During your week covering applications, you should also keep an eye on the Mentor Application Thread and the Pen Pals Application Thread so that you can update the Dossier and mask staff on Discord as needed.
Lists:
There will be exceptions, but generally Home Affairs aims to generate and complete about one (200-300 rows) list a week. To generate a list, go to the following:
You can then generate a list according to the instructions the Minister of Home Affairs will give you at the beginning of the week. In general, you'll want to generate a list excluding citizens and using the forum table & manual telegramming format. When you post a new list, be sure to include the following introduction:
After you have posted a list, your job will then be to monitor the list throughout the week and ping staff as needed to remind them to complete their rows on time. When the week is over, record the data for the list in HA's Dossier, and the Minister of Home Affairs will then lock the old list before the next week's list is generated.
Current Week: Week 2 | Mentoring | Applications | Lists |
Week 1 | BluieGamer | BMWSurfer | Nimarya |
Week 2 | BMWSurfer | Nimarya | BluieGamer |
Week 3 | Nimarya | BluieGamer | BMWSurfer |

We have compiled a new list of new members that need mentors! As always, we have split the list into new residents, residents applied for citizenship, and new citizens. You can find templates to use for your messaging here: https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9191951/

FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THIS TEMPLATE, SEE https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9067664/ Remember to change the [Your Nation] at the end of the telegram to the name of your nation! In order to collect accurate delivery report data, we ask that you please create a new template every time we send out a new list, instead of saving and reusing the template IDs. To make your claim, please post below in this thread using this form:
Code:
For "claim" put the range of rows you intend to complete, and for "number of rows" put how many rows total you have claimed. When you are finished with your rows, you MUST edit your post to fill in the "delivered" and "blocked" sections of the form. Otherwise, we will assume the rows were not completed and record that in the roster as such. |
After you have posted a list, your job will then be to monitor the list throughout the week and ping staff as needed to remind them to complete their rows on time. When the week is over, record the data for the list in HA's Dossier, and the Minister of Home Affairs will then lock the old list before the next week's list is generated.
