a free trade and free movement agreement has been discussed many times in Auroria, however it has not yet succeeded in a single continental market. Swindenland is a cosmopolitan nation that seeks to promote responsible trade between nations so that all members benefit from it. Swindenland and Epiphani always had good relations and it only makes sense to further integrate our two friendly people for the profit of all. The Boreal Free Trade Agreement would ensure free trade, legal coordination, freedom of movement and a free economic zone between the two signatories. The Free Economic Zone would be exclusively jointly controlled by the Empire of Epiphani and the Republic of Swindenland. It encompasses the Swind channel. Vessels of both nations can move freely within this territory. The treaty proposal is attached below. The treaty is minimalistic to be as productive as possible. It will include no bureaucracy and is only temporary. When and if an Aurorian Union will materialise, this treaty immediately ceases to apply. If there are no objections to the treaty proposal then we kindly await the Epiphani Foreign Affairs Ministry to invite the Swind delegation to sign the treaty. The treaty will only come into effect after a mandatory referendum in Swindenland.

The Parties to this treaty reaffirm their commitment to the creation of an Aurorian Union and to the desire to unite markets of nations with friendly relations. They seek to promote stability and well-being in Borea, the great North of Auroria. They are resolved to unite their efforts for a common market, freedom of movement and for the preservation of peace and security. They therefore agree to this Boreal Free Trade Agreement:
Article 1
The parties to this treaty shall be the original signatory nations of the Empire of Epiphani and the Republic of Swindenland and any other nation whose admission is unanimously agreed upon by all existing signatories.
Article 2
Signatories agree to form between themselves an area of open and free trade.
Signatories agree to gradually align their economic policies to better facilitate the same.
Signatories agree to ensure freedom of movement between other signatories of this treaty.
Article 3
This treaty establishes a Free Economic Zone in the Swind channel between Epiphani and Swindenland.
The Free Economic Zone shall be controlled by both nations jointly. Coast guards of both nations agree to a common set of rules.
All vessels and citizens of both nations may move freely within the Free Economic Zone.
Article 4
This treaty can be amended with unanimous agreement among signatories.
Article 5
Signatories can immediately cease to be parties to this treaty with a notice of denunciation to all other member states.
If either the Republic of Swindenland or the Empire of Epiphani cease to be parties to this treaty, then Article 3 immediately ceases to apply.
This Treaty shall be deposited in government archives of the Empire of Epipheni and public libraries of the Republic of Swindenland. Certified copies will can be transmitted by either original signatory to the governments of other signatories.
Article 6
This treaty comes into force once all original signatories ratify it.
This treaty immediately ceases to apply once an Aurorian Union comes into force.
