Magical City- The Delegate's Press Room

The Delegate’s Press Office announced late Wednesday that it is temporarily suspending press credentials from TuffingTost reporter Dreadton.

The announcement came in a statement by Delegate’s Press Office press secretary Wondress. It followed an unusually contentious press conference held by Delegate McMasterdonia in the East Room of the Delegate’s Press Office in which the Delegate called Dreadton "a rude, terrible person."

Dreadton had challenged the delegate on his characterization of the migrant caravan moving through Whole India as an "invasion."

After a few moments of verbal sparring, McMasterdonia angrily declared "that's enough" as a Delegate’s Press Office aide moved to take the microphone away from Dreadton. The TuffingTost reporter refused to relinquish the mic, brushing the woman away and tried to ask another question. McMasterdonia moved away from his podium and then pointed his finger at Dreadton and said, "TuffingTost should be ashamed of itself having you working for them."

In his statement, Wondress said:

"Delegate McMasterdonia believes in a free press and expects and welcomes tough questions of him and his Administration. We will, however, never tolerate a reporter placing his hands on a young woman just trying to do her job as a Delegate’s Press Office intern. This conduct is absolutely unacceptable. It is also completely disrespectful to the reporter's colleagues not to allow them an opportunity to ask a question. ... As a result of today's incident, the Delegate’s Press Office is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice."

Dreadton tweeted a video of him surrendering his "hard pass," or press credentials to the North Pacific Army Delegate Security Service.

The Delegate’s Press Office Correspondent's Association issued a statement saying it "strongly objects to the McMasterdonia Administration's decision to use North Pacific Army Delegate Security Service security credentials as a tool to punish a reporter with whom it has a difficult relationship. Revoking access to the Delegate’s Press Office complex is a reaction out of line to the purported offense and is unacceptable. ...We urge the Delegate’s Press Office to immediately reverse this weak and misguided action."

Delegate McMasterdonia has repeatedly assaulted and challenge anyone who questions his administration, with this latest incident being one of many from an increasingly unhinged Delegate

Correction: Early reports called McMastedonia president instead of delegate, or his proper title of Loony McGoony
