A Non–Canon/TV Canon Roleplay

The Premise
Rabotov’s Cogoria has infiltrated Craviter’s strongest countries—with a virus that reduces humans to aggressive, cannibalistic hunters. These hunters are called the Boŝi, and the Cogorians have used them as an instrument of eradicating the bourgeoisie and instituting communism throughout continent and possibly beyond. In a world running out of time, a congregation of nations—the Aegis—has formed to push back the Boŝi hordes and capture Oktobergrad, the command center of Rabotov’s operation.

A team of operatives with various nationalities was assembled to covertly infiltrate Cogorian–occupied Craviter, disable the devices used to control the Boŝi, and effectively end communist occupation.

Cosaint Boŝi is a character–focused roleplay based on a Demescian television show; anybody can join, and how the story evolves depends on the decisions of the characters involved. Will Rabotov succeed in his conspiracy to spread the Communist ideology? Will the Boŝi stay under Cogorian control for long?

The Virus
A virus broke out in 1960 in a Cogorian village, after a young boy explored the ruins of a cathedral. Symptoms included cannibalistic appetite, abnormal hormonal growth, sharp fangs—and natural immortality. The outbreak was quickly contained, its infected thrown in to laboratories. No cure was found, but the scientists shifted focus from developing a cure to control the behaviors of the patients.

Fast–forward to the year 2019; Cogorian scientists have made great improvements to the study on this virus, which they named Boŝi in official document. (The name is a diminutive for the Cogorian word for barefoot, because the patients were often unclothed or in torn clothing). With radio and infrared waves, scientists were able to control the direction of the patients, and with certain scents they were able to repel them. They reported these discoveries to the Cogorian leader of the time—Rabotov, a radical communist aching to rid the Northern world of what he senses to be injustice and inequality. He unleashed hordes of the Boŝi into surrounding countries such as Malor–Kanada and Prydania. In a matter of months, Craviter and Iteria became Boŝi. The weaknesses of these brutes are known only to the Cogorian scientists.

The story takes place in 2020, two years after Rabotov begins his conquest of Craviter. Most of the countries are either done for or still struggling to stay alive.

The Aegis

Countries of the other continents (Gothis, Iteria, Icenia, Meterra and Kian) form a coalition to defend against this rising threat. The Cogorians has already attempted to capture the east coast of Demescia, but the outbreak was quickly contained and dispatched. Convening in Togbata, this coalition—the Aegis, sends task forces to Craviter to confront this impending armageddon. The task force in focus is Taskforce 86, a manifold team of nine sent to the continent to sabotage the radio towers used to control the Boŝi and use it against them. Focus is also on the command center team, composed of the world’s colonels and generals, managing the task force and occasionally communicating with it.

The Campaign

The journey to Oktobergrad begins on the shore of Esselanea. The path taken from there is up to the players and their characters, but the ultimate objective is capturing Oktobergrad and, ideally, stopping the virus. While most of Craviter is swarmed, there are some pockets of survivors throughout the continent, which may prove useful for navigating the terrain and obtaining supplies and extra firepower to continue the campaign.

It’s recommended that the members of Taskforce 86 are able to swim. It’s also recommended that they have canteens, handheld transceivers, assault weapons and side arms (both of which are entirely up to you). Besides that, players can furnish their characters with whatever abilities, skills, and behaviors come to mind—so long as they don’t linger on the fine line of Mary Suism or godmodding.

The goal is to get to Oktobergrad, but how you do it is entirely collaborative and up to you.
