Arya was slated to become one of the many. Proud, honorable, distinguished. Orphaned as a young child, she knew very little of other purposes in life. Then came the day it was revealed that her parents were murdered by a ranking official within the Elvish government. Her parents were accused of aiding the criminal underground present in Aesertes, the penalty for their actions, being death. Stealing into the constable's office, there she found documents detailing her parents case which in turn, led her to a certain elf who did certain things. From this elf, she learned that the judge who persecuted her parents, was very much within the pocket of criminal enterprises himself.
Gathering her belongings and taking only what she needed, she confronted the judge, whom, after much observation, she thought to be alone.
It was a trap. The elf whom told her of the judge's ill-will had alerted him to her coming. The judge, in turn, had Elvish soldiers summoned to deal with her unwanted intrusion. Realizing her folly, she tried desperately to escape only to find she was surrounded.
Imprisoned and tortured for an indeterminate length of time, she eventually managed to escape into the wilderness, much to the displeasure of the official, whom the judge answered to. It was during this time that she met her only companion, a little cub who was also orphaned by its mother. Managing to live off the land, she slowly regained her strength, and honed her skills.
Eventually, she mustered up the courage to reenter society. At a small town, she managed to steal a sword and a dagger, along with some clothes. Off of a random patrol that came near where she was camping, she managed to steal her armor, a decent bow, and quiver.
At present, she lives in the ruined city on the border between Aesertes and Karnoth. Every so often, whenever it strikes her fancy, she will go actively hunting for an Elvish patrol to both replenish her equipment and to weaken the Elvish legions if only just a little. Her companion, the lynx named Shigra, also now helps her with these endeavors. She's a semi-frequent visitor to remote Dwarfish and Elvish outposts close to the border, often only staying long enough to get what she needs and leaving before anyone can stare at her long enough to remember her face.
