Ruu

The most common of the Silurite peoples. Considered the working class of their society if you could consider their commitment in life to be work. They provide most of the resources and foods for the other Silurites. They are fairly passive and cheery peoples.

Yulru

Much like the Ruu, the Yulru are working class. That said they usually help seed and manage the Ruu in their occupation. They are significantly fewer than the Ruu, however they still make up a significant amount the population. Their determination is a trait shared among them and a boon to their Kingdom.

Belru

These Silurites reside on the edges of their peoples population centers. Constantly vigilant and ever watchful. They ensure that the other mushrooms know in advance of intruders or unwanted guests. They are the first line of defense. Generally they are quiet and keep to themselves. It is said to be good luck if you can make one laugh.

Tomaru

Free Silurites. These mushrooms usually live outside the clumped communities and reside in isolation compared to their brethren. They believe that mushrooms should not be constrained to locked roles and should be free to function as they wish. An ironic trait. They have been "free" since their creation.

Ceru

Known as the messengers in their community. They are responsible for communication between far away population centers and isolated groups of mushrooms. They also are responsibly for the interaction with other races. They hold royal decree as law. They're joy of service is only second to the royals themselves.

Peylu

Regarded as the keepers of their people. The Peylu record and date as much history as possible. Always watching their neighbor. Recording all actions and conversations. They have written many works. They help the Stavru with their teachings by offering many literary resources available to them. They are known to advise the royals from time to time.

Stavru

These mushrooms help others mushrooms grow and nurture into mature mushrooms. They tend to the children, help freed and processing the nutrients for the young. They also help teach the roles to be bestowed on the future mushroom citizens. They work closely Yulru in helping manage certain aspects of society.

Tuyulurushiru

The royals themselves. Despite being the rarest of the mushrooms they command the most respect and have the final say in most things. Many mushrooms suspect that they are not individuals as they try to appear and that they are merely the representation of a single being.

They are uncaring. They are unfeeling. They only know one thing: eternal hunger. Their own mushroom brethren fear their presence. They only appear during times of strife and conflict. Spreading like a disease. Destroying all in their path. For them to be awake is pain. Only the royals can grant them their sleep. Rarely are they woken from their slumber, but woe to those who they are unleashed upon when they are. They have only been defeated, more like dissuaded, successfully one time.

Magic

The Silurite peoples are inherently magical in nature. Most use druidic magics throughout their entire lives without realizing. It is essential their unity as a people and culture. What they would consider basic day to day activities are actually wreathed in rich magical properties, from the way they eat, the way they feed their young, to even how they communicate with each other. Those who do become aware of these rhythms in their own lives and others claim enlightenment and a further solidarity with their forest. However, the Peylu would say that it would be better that everyone remain unaware of this ebb and flow, for these magics could easily morph into something more than what they are. Into something darker and harder to control. They warn the "enlightened" to enjoy their higher existence, but to keep it to themselves. Harnessing the living force of the forest and nature is harmless, so long as it they're not greedy and it remains the life force of forest and not their neighbor.

Location

The Silurite peoples may be quiet and reclusive, yet they are an all encompassing people. They are everywhere, and if they are not? They soon will be! The fact that they are unsure of their origin is fundamental to their culture, as it is the main reason as to why they keep such extensive records and keep expanding. Records from population and expansions to failed colonies and neighbors to how much food a particular group of Ruu is consuming. Should a civilization ever fall, sure enough the Silurites will have a detailed account of their existence. If anything they are too nosy for their own good. Many times they will make expansions into cities, ruins, or crypts with little regard for themselves. Their curiosity propels them forward into the unknown.
