Amaluska was founded by settlers seeking out good land to establish a faith-based community based upon personal freedom and community interaction. They were lost at sea for days before spotting a Black Eagle which they followed to dry land. They made landfall on a beautiful coastal region with plenty of forests and farmable land nearby with a snow-capped mountain range forming a natural border around them.

Some of the more adventurous settlers took their revolvers and lever-action rifles up into the nearby mountains to hunt for food and build isolated homes but most settled in and began farming to provide for themselves. Soon they had adopted a document detailing their rights and basic laws called "The Articles of Unification" and chosen a black and white flag with the black background representing the black eagle that led them to dry land and white representing God as thanks for sending the eagle to them. This first settlement grew over several generations to become the capital city that it is today. Amaluska is situated between the glistening blue waters of the beautiful ocean to the west and a majestic snow-capped mountain range to the east. The land is fertile and green, covered by forests and healthy grass. The soil is soft and fertile and often so dark it's almost black. Amaluskans value nature and take steps to preserve the beautiful environment outside of their cities.

Summer is pleasantly warm allowing Amaluskans to walk around without sweaters without the fear of sunburn. Spring and fall are cool with light snow. Winter is cold with snow. With multiple sources of food are available from the ocean, fertile soil, and mountainous forests the cuisine is varied and delicious. Simple cooking methods used with high quality ingredients and light spices or herbs to highlight the natural flavor of the ingredients being a common theme. Pescetarianism is quite popular due to the variety of delicious seafood available but cows and pigs are still harvested for meat especially in the eastern regions.

Fish is prepared cooked or raw depending on customer preference and geographical location with the north commonly serving the fish cooked and whole but the south serving it in raw pieces, sometimes with rice.

A unique feature of Amaluskan cuisine is the consumption of all bowls, plates, cutlery, etc. after the food is consumed. To throw away these things instead of eating them is considered extremely rude so there was a minor diplomatic incident when the first Amaluskan diplomat sent overseas attempted to eat a very valuable porcelain dinner plate.

There is not a state religion but over 95% of the population observes the same faith. Divorce is illegal except for reasons justifiable by their faith. A biannual tradition is held in the cities of visiting the elderly who have no relatives and presenting them with gifts to encourage their social interaction.

With the ocean being the western border of the country and the mountains being the eastern border, seafood is more common and popular in the west with beef and pork being more common and popular in the east. Food is commonly served with rice as a filler. Vegetables and fruits are grown in the fertile soil ensuring a healthy and balanced diet is available. Persimmons are quite a popular fruit grown in home gardens. Clean energy is developed by solar panels being a requirement on all homes with windmills and watermills being quite common. Fossil fuels are still used somewhat with generators and automobiles being fossil-fuel powered. Politics in Amaluska are divided into three distinct areas, Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. The Legislative section deals with drafting new laws. The Judicial section deals with the development of law drafts to fit with the Articles of Unification. The Executive section signs or vetoes laws. Political parties are illegal with individuals running for office by submitting a declaration for an intention to run for office to the Judicial section then campaigning to earn votes. Compassion and taking care of one another are just two of the things Amaluskans take very seriously, resulting in a deep-seated culture of social interaction and engagement with friendliness being a noted feature by tourists.

Amaluskan culture enforces social integration with multiculturalism being seen as a negative concept. Amaluskans have a variety of ethnic backgrounds but racial tension is non-existent with the Amaluskan culture being seen as a unifying force that all identify with. Amaluskans are highly patriotic and many serve in the nation's military for a short term before going back to their civilian lives with some choosing to make it their lifelong profession. Amaluskans view military service as a duty and an honor, this results in most of them signing to serve at the age of 18. Most serve at least two years before leaving with some choosing to serve longer or even for the full 20 years necessary to gain the military retirement. The Amaluskan military is small but highly advanced with the two most versatile caliber cartridges being used and a single pattern of camo being used. There is only one military branch which handles all environments and terrains with it's personnel being trained to be as adaptable as possible. All of this results in a simplified logistical system thus reducing costs while maintaining maximum tactical flexibility and combat effectiveness. The motto of the military is "There is no tomorrow".

The economic system of Amaluska is relatively simple to understand. The basic concept is capitalism with a safety net to prevent wealth inequality and to help the poor because of the nation's faith influencing their economy. A national job training program is available which gives people free training for any job they desire. Being in a union is required and the union will argue on the behalf of the citizen for a fitting wage. Healthcare and education are seen as a human right and are paid for by taxes. Welfare is non-existent but disability is available for those unable to work. Employment is seen as a human right so the government will help those unable to find a job either get a job or offer them a job on a project such as building a freeway. There is no sales tax. Amaluska sends ambassadors and diplomats to other nations to interact with other nations but is somewhat xenophobic and has a slightly difficult immigration process with those wanting to live in Amaluska having to pass tests to see if they would be a good fit for Amaluskan society. Those wishing to change Amaluskan society in any way are not allowed but those wishing to trade or visit are allowed. Their border is heavily protected and illegal immigrants are not allowed. Amaluskans are not a war-mongering people but will go to war if they feel it is morally justified. Amaluskans enjoy visiting the hot springs on the eastern border of Amaluska generated by the volcanoes in the mountain range. Nudity is frowned upon due to the conservative religious background of Amaluskans.
