So as the title suggests, if you wish to participate in the Yukkirian civil war thread formally known as "By Her Own Two Hands," please post below with characters, proposed involvement, in addition to whatever else you were thinking. If anything, this will allow for me to get a feel of who wants to get involved. The conflict is open to all to participate in but is subject to my own approval.
Keep in mind that despite me having a good idea of where I want the conflict to go, the specifics if how it will get to where I want it to go I'm not too keen to hammer into stone. It allows for more potential in the given story to give rise to deeper conflicts within the given story and allows for a more dynamic approach to the story being told.
Currently those who are already involved are listed below:
- Goyanes (close ally to the Imperial Loyalists)
- Maloria (close ally to the Imperial Loyalsts)
- Norsia (ally to the Imperial Loyalists)
- Ceretis (ally to the Imperial Loyalists)
Potential (or not confirmed) involvement from the below:
- Mouxordia (ally to the Imperial Loyalists)
The current conflict thus far:
Imperial Loyalists and allies VERSUS the now illegitimate Red Brigade organization, traitor IYG, Remnant, and their supporters
Current battle plan of the story:
1. Kirin ignites a civil war intending to follow in her daughter's footsteps to change the very culture of the Imperial Court.
2. Orochi dispatches with a battalion of loyalist forces to confront the Remnant/Traitor Guard attacking Bisho.
2a. The First Battle of Katan - Loyalist forces are overwhelmed by the combined strength of Remnant, Red Brigade, and traitor Guard. Loyalists cede the city to the rebels. Katan, for all intents and purposes, falls and is an occupied state.
3. The rebel forces put a brick to the accelerator and immediately begin the siege of Nioki. Coalition forces counterattack from South Nioki.
4. The Empress' battlegroup arrives from deployment and manages to help win the day for coalition forces. Alas, rebel naval elements take their price; the pride of the Imperial Navy is sunk, sundered by its escorts.
5. The Siege of Xia - Rebel forces begin bombarding and doing sorties over the historic capital of Xia. They manage to take control of a majority of the city and put the loyalists forces at risk of being pushed out of the city.
6. A spearhead led by the Empress herself level the city. The Imperial Court and Magistrate buildings are destroyed beyond repair. Priceless relics of the past are lost. Many mourn the treasures lost that day.
7. The Battle for the Island Nui - With the battle going badly for the rebels, desperate times call for desperate measures, and the Remnant calls upon the last of its naval forces to attack from the flank. A helicopter carrier is lost this day and the other is severely damaged.
7a/7b. As push comes to shove, loyalist spearheads attack the rebel strongholds of Rappa and Zau. The manufactory blocks of Zau are leveled. But thankfully, the ancient shrines at Rappa survive mostly unscathed. Rebels and Loyalists alike begin to realize the past they've lost due to such foolishness. The Remnant though, vow to continue fighting to the bitter end.
8. The Second Battle for Katan - a three-pronged attack superseded by a massive artillery and aerial bombardment campaign see the historic city leveled to catastrophic levels. The rebels however fight back with whatever they have left. Heavy fighting ensues across the princedom of Katan. Urban warfare continues through several days of fighting within the capitol's streets. No rebel is left alive.
9. The traitor IYG forces surrender just short of the mountain range that separates Ascalon and Yukkira. In an act of unprecedented kindness however, in thanks for surrendering peacefully, the Empress pardons them, their officers, in addition to the Red Empress herself. The voices of dissent are silenced, by the Empress invoking her right as she who sits upon the now ruined Throne.
10. The Remnant fight to the last man. The leader however... is... ???
