The Predicean crisis

Following the Death of HRM Giorgio I the people would begin large scale strikes and protests against the acension of Giorgio II which gradually devolved into open looting and rioting in 12 cities across the country. The Riot Police are called in but are unable to effectively contain the masses of rioters. Soon enough the rioters storm parliament which despite a strong police presence is overrun. After this, Giorgio II would call in the Armed Forces to attempt to contain the violence.A nervous soldier would open fire into a crowd causing several dead and wounded. The rioters respond by charging at military lines and forcing them to pull back towards the Royal palace. Soon after a Royal pretender would rise as the leader of the Rioters. It was at this point that Giorgio II would declare a state of Emergency and fully Mobilise the Military as he was evacuated from the Royal Palace to the War Room.

Military and Police Units have abandoned the city centre of Nuevo Antofagosta and have begun a containing action in other cities. The Prime Minister suggests a compromise to the King to stay as the monarch. The King accepts and orders the Minister of the Interior to send the following message to the rioters:
"HRM Giorgio II wishes to negotiate with you. He has conceded that the Parliament will retain it's powers and that he shall give up some of his wealth in exchange, you shall disperse as soon as possible or send a diplomat of yours to further discuss terms." The Rioters decide to send a diplomat to further discuss terms, and the Parliament in the end would be granted a bit more power. The Crisis still continues at a much lower intensity, but it seems to be wrapping up
