Water spirits inhabit every body of water from a stream to an lake. The oceans are not ruled over by any one spirits. There are two main types of spirits, the ones you want to meet, and the ones you don't. The good ones are responsible for calm waters and giving life to crops, the bad spirits are responsible for Tsunamis, storms and destroying ships.
Earth spirits are large in number with some of them spirits of rock, pebbles or dirt. When an earth spirit is mad, they can cause mass destruction with earth-quakes, mudslides and desertification. However, there is a good side to them and they can grant fertile soils, harden ground for easier walking and much more.
Fire spirits are beautifully complex creatures. They are shy, just like fire. If you get to close to them they will bite but if you keep your distance and show respect, they can warm, cook and revive. If you are ever near a fire spirit, be careful.
Air spirits are very touchy. Don't say they are full of hot air, they don't like that.More often than not, they are very defensive but more than any other spirit, they love their freedom. The worst thing that you could do to a spirit of the air would be to trap it. When they are trapped, they tend to summon huge winds that rip through whatever walls are enclosing them.
Seasons
Winter spirits are what some might consider to be the worst tempered of all the spirits. With winter comes cold, frostbite, potential for death and more. Some say the beauty of a fresh, undisturbed snowfall is only created in rural areas with small human populations because the winter spirits blame humans for restricting them.
Spirits of Spring are the opposite of their winter friends. They are often depicted happy as new life is born and flowers bloom. Spring is a time for relief for everyone, animal human and yes, spirit.
Summer spirits are just a little less jovial than their spring counterparts. While they bring joy, they also carry other things like heat stroke and rashes. On the whole, they enjoy human company and the increased activity that comes with the warmest season.
Autumn spirits. They are more associated with the feeling of melancholy than most, trying desperately to cling to the red leaves before the cold sets in. With Autumn spirits in their prime however, they bring a vibrant dash of colour to every landscape and, despite the colder weather that trails them, there is a certain beauty in watching them as they fly across the world, streaks of red and gold illuminating the sky.
God
With all these spirits, life could get very chaotic very quickly. That is where God comes in. It is his job to control the spirits and to guide them. God is a kindly deity who loves humans very much. He is responsible for all other things that is not done by spirits. He and the spirits created Osterlich as a prefect nation and declared that humans will rule over it and become a stronghold for the religion, Rycavekiism
